Orson Welles, Fermented In The Bottle
Hilarious outtakes of Welles, drunk out of his skull, in the filming of Paul Masson commercials.

Thanks. Serendipitous for me, as I am currently reading Roszak's "Flicker" and just read the chapter that portrays an inebriated Welles holding forth.

A great Welles' classic and quite popular on YT.
A less known Welles narration classic: The Rivers of Freedom. A great cartoon for kids.

Orson Welles is eternally sexy -- even if he *is* the size of a VW Bug.

Take 3 is even funnier than the second one.

But it's also very sad. I didn't know that Welles had a drinking problem.

Just found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqxhM-7wERM
Are you sure that was only the fourth take, Paul?

In distant retrospect, I think Treacher's link is the genesis of the "Bishop" sketch on Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album.
We all now how pathetic it is when socially desperate types quote passages of Python verbatim in order to force a moment of good cheer, right?
The rest of this blog comment is going to be like that.
"These are the forces! Thisis the power!"
If you ever see a copy of that record somewhere, it's worth buying just for their version of John Denver's "Annie's Song." Don't be put of buy the cover art.
