I was about to ask if I had to climb ladders, avoid barrels and rescue the princess.
Wait, wut? I have to rescue the prince? nah, that's ok.

The image, found April 10 on a whiteboard in Blackwell Library, showed a stick figure being hung and labeled with a racial slur. Underneath was the hashtag “#whitepower.”
The university confirmed Tuesday, April 26, the students involved in the incident were black, spokesman Richard Culver wrote in an email. The university would not provide names of the students, citing the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
So Amphenol, a company that manufactures a lot of military and aerospace electronic components, had to lay off some workers. This happened because the company screwed up its quality control; it has for some time been delivering electronics connectors to the DoD that failed manufacturing tests and used parts from unverified sources. It's a nasty situation and has led the DoD to put stop-shipment orders on a lot of Amphenol connectors. It's hurting the company, but it's hurting the DoD too because the services now have to go through all of their production parts records for every piece of equipment and try to determine if any suspect connectors were built in, and that's going to cost millions in labor hours.
The DoD and Amphenol are working together on getting the situation resolved. It's going to take time because there are a lot of records to comb through, and Amphenol is probably going to get their hands slapped. But they'll get it resolved and likely all of the recently laid off workers will be rehired eventually. Except... Chuckie Schumer, whom I'm guessing knows precisely zero about avionics safety standards, is interfering. Fucking political hack. He and Dennis Hastert should be sharing a jail cell.
The woman, Meghann Foye, recently came out with a book titled Meternity — the fictional story of a woman who fakes a pregnancy to get maternity leave. In an interview with the New York Post, Foye explained that even though the story in her book is fictional, it is rooted in her very real belief that childless women should get maternity leave, too.

Carly was the only candidate in this election to offer any attractive rhetoric whatsoever.

Mizzou is still the gift that keeps on giving:

But on a side note, I call bullshit on the retaurant owner's alleged ignorance.

Sad to hear that about Amphenol. They usually do good work.

He'd would have been okay if he had said he "identified" as her husband. (That would justify the dollars he's walking away from.)

Still, donation is entirely voluntary, so I guess they can milk it for all it's worth.
