You* have nothing better to do for the next 47 minutes than listen to Steyn & Caldwell.
* Except Ppen, who's handcrafting meat.

Not political but public service info since it is important to be aware and vocal. (Do the people that are most upset even donate to their local Meals on Wheels?)

I really like Walter Olson, who wrote that piece. I also linked to a Kevin Drum piece in the linky post yesterday:

And here I thought feigned political superiority was the bread and butter of third party voters who have never been able to reach out to the average man with any message of consequence.

If you're gonna make fun of me for synthetic meat can I make fun of you for leaving only to return and continuously call this blog a cesspool self-mastubatory posts?
Personally it would be like me leaving for a year only to return and ask people to stop with the angry unhinged rants because they're pointless. The hilarity of that lack of self-awareness on my end for criticizing anyone on that front would not be lost on me.
Man if I had your talent for writing and the ability to entertain like you do but contemptuously thought so little of my sparring partners I'd just leave. Seriously.

Look, when you can make you own meat up thar in them sophistimicated cities, you don't's be a-needin' to worry about no bread and butter, what with all that unpleasant wheat harvesting in the fields and cow-juice churning in the barn.
There are those who hate the little people for the way they grow our food.
But *I* hate the little people for the way they make our CLOTHES!
They grow all that fucking COTTON, you know? And then those little shits stitch it all together. They comb all that wool, and then they weave it up and give it zippers and stuff. Those people always have buttons falling out of their pockets... Buttons, buttons, buttons, it just couldn't be any more low-class.
The farmers are okay. But God, I hate the clothiers! Soon, because technology, we --thriving as we do in civilization's elegant urban centers-- will be able to have clothes WITHOUT the little people!
And our lives will be that much richer, and our superiority will be that much more apparent.
Can't wait.

You think that was the point of my message huh?
I work with nothing but those "little people" on a daily basis.
Be it Mexican illegals or Trump loving white working class blokes in American manufacturing.
As someone who is mentally ill I have found nothing but happiness in working with them and their generosity of spirit, time, energy and patience has been nothing but a benefit to me. So I would like to genuinely give you a very personal and nice fuck you for your assumptions that I look down on them or your assumption that I feel they are unneeded.
I really mean that from the bottom of my dark heart. Fuck you.
I wouldn't have a job without them and I wouldn't have a sense of community and belonging. I like them and they like me.
But rural American people think that they supply my city food? That's not how the supply chain works anymore. The food they are growing, and the clothes the are making, and the textiles they are manufacturing are all going to the emerging markets. That lumber they are growing is being ravenously consumed by the Chinese (to the point I will tell you it's getting near impossible to find stuff to buy). That pork they are growing by the Mexicans. And I as a city person is becoming an insignificant speck on their future with one caveat. We city people make the sale. An all out war with us and they would not live in some self-sufficient paradise. Because again that's not how things work in this global economy anymore.
And we city people know one very important thing: Rural people do not like to buy Made In America. For all the boisterous screams they make that market is exclusively elitists and foreigners. Because manufacturers have asked this question time and time again.
So yeah I think their "pride" is stupid. I think city peoples pride in their moral superiority and work is also "stupid". I know I have to say this second part because you like making assumptions.
But I actually don't look down on anyone....not even the Silicon Valley guy who made me buy tons of organic English soap to environmentally wax his maple cabinetry.
Actually well that's not true. I do look down on third party voters who feel to remind us that they posses a moral superiority for not voting for evil. Like these motherfuckers are actually representative of anything but your self-aggrandizing egos. Can't even catch a vote on the city level when its handed to you.

Know who I really hate?
The chemists who make our medicines!
They're always fucking around in those unflattering lab coats, y'know? They spend their lives working with weird statistical software packages, and eventually that's gotta come out of their personalities. You can tell sometimes when you're sitting next to one at a ball game or a concert or a theater play, and you can just FEEL the vibes seeping off of them.
It's intensely distasteful, and I don't see why truly elevated personages, such as my self, should have to put up with them.
Soon enough, we'll be able to synthesize our own medications in home labs or cells phones or something.
And Swear to God, after that day comes, I am NEVER EVER going talk to another medical chemist!
Fuck those people. They deserve the Hell that awaits them in this new economy.

And now a report from a filthy, despicable, highly-taxed socialist country spiraling down into a post-apocalyptic dystopian hell.
Either that or they're the happiest country on earth.
It's a head-scratcher, for sure!

socialist country
It's not socialist, it's welfare. Denmark and the other scandi countries are capitalist.
