That Andreessen guy is a real shmart feller. For about seven minutes starting here, he shares interesting thoughts about the direction of journalism and media in the past and in the future. Basically, the media landscape of the colonial era was much like blogging, and the postwar fetish for neutrality was a scam. This is a few years old, so he doesn't address what microblogging/Twitter will mean to journalism, which is is a shame.
Note that this is somewhat sophisticated business & ethical analysis, so prattle about "fake news" is not included.

Everyone, stop going to the bathroom without checking the seat first. Then, lower or raise it as needs be.
My wife and I reached an agreement. We put the lid down, not just the seat. That way, it's equally inconvenient for both of us and, as my wife put it, "who wants to look inside a toilet?"
Many progressives want to lower the voting age to 16, yet they want to raise the age to buy a long gun to 21, all while Obamacare lets them stay on mommy’s health care plan until they’re 26.
So just when does someone become an adult anymore?
@Cridmo: Just as with the Russian bastard, there are a lot of needy, callow souls in the United States who would be lost without THEIR President!
Or Barack Obama, come to think of it. For some of the younger voters, he was really all they knew -- GWB would have been but a vague memory. I suppose there are some old-timers out there who came of age knowing only FDR. Or Reagan, etc.

The first President that I have any significant memory of was LBJ. The second one was Nixon. No wonder us X'ers are so cynical.

Would Clinton be any better CD? Maybe that is why when people complain about the president being unpresidential I wonder which president was presidential.
Gentlemen, raise the seat beforehand (and lower it afterwards).

As always we will never know the identity of the liar. Because, of course, she has suffered enough.

Oh, if you think about Mongolia, my guess is you're more likely to think "yurts" than "pop scene." But they do have one there, even if it's a little hard to tell which decade they're in, exactly.
