This is what happens when you demand something be done. Something was done, and you don't like it one bit? well suck it up, bunkie.
I was told that women were smart, tough, empowered, and the equals of men, and that gender was a social construct that had no actual meaning. But you need a safe space away from men?

You don't get it. It's haaard to sneak your weed into school in a clear backpack. It's not faaaair!
Well, dearie, it's also hard to sneak a gun into school in a clear backpack, so which one are you willing to trade for the other, freedom or security?
Your public voices, Hogg and Gonzalez, have made it clear that you value security over freedom. So, if they don't speak for you, you need to speak up for yourselves.

Should actuary-splain this to legislatures.
But these various recent news items suggest that now is as good a time as any to actuary-splain a bit: Yes, it matters that public pensions are funded, and, no, it's not just a matter of greedy pension-cutters using underfunding as an excuse to destroy pension benefits.
With deep shame I confess that my first thoughts about the YouTube nightmare as it unfolded were to wonder if I'd soon be able to watch video of it on a popular clip-sharing service.

You're not alone. The first question I asked my wife when the story broke was, "do you think there will be video?"

Gosh, not that long ago Shrillary and Hairy Reed had the same opinion as Drump and Cesar Chavez on illegal immigration:

On the John Gambling Radio Show show in February 2003 Hillary Clinton said:
“We’ve got to do several things and I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants.”

In this footage from 1993, Sen. Harry Reid speaks forcefully that "no sane country" would reward illegal aliens with citizenship for their off-spring.

And you wondered why the California government is dysfunctional.
Kegs in the office, racial and homophobic slurs, sexual harassment? It's all just another day of doing "the people's business" in Sacramento.
