You say you want a revolution? how about a civil war?
He spoke glowingly about how there were many people at different levels of government who were saying and doing things contrary to the President. “Curious point in American government. When do we see almost a shadow government come out and say, ‘We cannot side with the government, whether its cabinet or the Senate.’ I think that's the big question,” he opined.
Whoops. On the plus side, I doubt the thieves knew what they got. On the negative side, there is a non-zero risk that someone(s) will get a bad case radiation poisoning.
They brought with them specialized radiation detectors. And to calibrate the detectors they have to bring along some plutonium, too, and also cesium. These are the materials used in nuclear weapons or dirty bombs.
These security specialists stopped for the night at the San Antonio Marriott Northwest.
They left the materials in the back seat of their rented Ford Expedition and went to bed. The plutonium and cesium were stolen out of the Marriott parking lot.
The truth about the charge that Russia stole the contents of the Democratic National Committee’s computer server is not to be found in the opinions of any persons whatever. The truth can be discovered only by examining the server in question—assuming it has not been tampered with since the alleged event. But, said Trump emphatically, those making the accusations against Russia have refused to let the server be examined by U.S. intelligence or by any independent experts.
That's not how this works; that's not how any of this works.

IRADA: I call BS on Plutonium being in anyone's possession for calibration purposes, regardless of the article. Not only are a variety of NON-fissionable materials available for alpha, beta, gamma and neutron emission calibration (ref.: Nuclides and Isotopes, GE Nuclear Energy), Plutonium is ferociously expensive ($millions/gram) and is controlled as a Special Nuclear Material (chain of custody, two-person rule with supervision at all times).
At one time, just mentioning a keyword used in the inventory of Plutonium outside our work areas was an offense that could get you removed from... umm... work. There's a lot more to it.

The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez train wreck gets worse.
According to The Independent, Ocasio-Cortez has a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from Boston University. She graduated fourth in her class, according to NHI Magazine (NHI = National Hispanic Institute), which named her Person-of-the-Year in 2017.
Let's see, she has a degree in economics and cannot talk intelligently about what makes up the unemployment rate? She has a degree in international relations and cannot talk intelligently, or even confidently, about the situation in the Middle East?
All this stupidity and she wants voters to put her in an office in which she'll make laws to govern a nation of 326 million people with a GDP of over $18.5 trillion?
Millennials may be the most educated generation in American history, but all those little pieces of paper do not mean they're they smartest.
"... has a bachelor's degree in economics and international relations from Boston University. She graduated fourth in her class ..."
Equally important, what does this say about Boston University. Fourth in her class with two degrees and lacks even basic knowledge in both of them.
And like Rad I am confused by the plutonium. Cesium I get. It is something I've seen regularly. It is still easy to purchase. But plutonium is completely different. Did they mean polonium?

Update on Michigan murder case from 2017 (stupid teens involved)
...Prosecutors said the teens threw at least 20 rocks off the overpass, ranging in weight from one to 20 pounds.
They called the prank 'dinging'.
It was also revealed that the teens went to McDonald's for a meal after the incident, not knowing that they had fatally injured a man.
(end)
We've all heard of such cases before, I believe.
What I don't get is why SOME people seem to think they shouldn't have to talk to their teenagers about Not Committing crimes like this, on the grounds that anyone over ten already knows that someone could get killed that way.
Any ten-year-old also knows that drunk driving is horribly wrong and seriously illegal. So, does anyone say it's a stupid waste of time and money to make teenagers sit through classes on why not to mix driving and alcohol? No. Why not? Because teens are DIFFERENT from ten-year-olds! Why is that so hard for parents to grasp when it comes to OTHER crimes? Peer pressure can be far more powerful than parents want to admit.

I'm surprised by the plutonium too. I wonder if what they actually had was cobalt-60. That would make sense for a lost-source recovery team since cobalt-60 is pretty commonly used in radiotherapy and industrial gamma-ray inspection machines.

Radiographers at SRS use Yttrium sources. Dunno what isotope right now.
Study finds women more likely than men to volunteer for tasks that don't directly lead to promotion.
They're more likely to volunteer for these low-level tasks, and more likely to be asked to volunteer for them (by both male and female managers).
