Congratulations to Serena Williams! http://acecomments.mu.nu/?post=376965
She didn't beat Naomi Osaka -- but she sure showed that a woman tennis player can be just as big a cry-baby as Jimmy Connors or John McEnroe!

jdgalt beat me to the Serena post, but here's someone blaming Federer's loss on climate change, instead of, say, old age, and losing a step or three.
...But especially about Serena Williams. Look at her body, fer Chrissakes. Look at her sister, and then consider their success differential. Who could doubt that she's juiced out of her mind? What are we supposed to admire about this?
Accordingly, perhaps this is a good time to remind everyone that there are thirty-six thousand islands in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, and some of them will presumably soon be (more) readily accessible and competitively priced.
Dare; dare now to boldly dream of the personal kingdom for which you've so meekly pined since childhood.
Ginger... Maryanne... All of it.
Lovey!...
That's right, I SAID it. YOUR ISLAND, Babe.

Not to be argumentative or anything (seriously), but some of us think 'libertarian leaders' is a contradiction in terms, which is why we like the school of thought... Nobuddy takes attendance or checks homework.
I mean, given the power to control how people dress and eat and think and vote and fuck and pay taxes, our standards would not match up with yours in more than one out of (checking) 7,648,865,598 cases, if you catch my drift.

Though, y'know, murder-for-hire isn't cool.
But again, it's not like I'm sharing a locker with that man or woman or agency. (Didn't follow the link yet)

Seems to me crid that based on your last link, fostering a land war between China and India would be a net benefit
I don't really follow sports, but it's been impossible to miss the uproar over the women's tennis championship. I've noticed that for all of the self-righteous chest-thumping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth over how Serena and the ref cheated poor Naomi out of the joy of her upset victory, all of the photo coverage is of Williams. I have no idea what the winner even looks like; I haven't seen a picture of her yet.

And this is the worst part of this entire circus. Osaka's been cheated of her victory. She made history, damn it! She was the first Japanese player to win a Grand Slam title. And she did it beating her childhood hero.
Some particularly galling hypocrisy from all involved

Libertarian leadership, please advise your candidates on the current standards for personal appearance if you want to have any success at the polls.
And do something about that distracting murder-for-hire thing while you're at it.

Williams' frustration were justified, her behavior was not.
