Linkerish
I'd rather lick a newly polished shoe than eat the black kind. Blech. The celery of candy. (In case you're wondering, if you like celery, I suspect your taste buds died some years ago.)

At least the newly-polished shoe will be clean, and smell of wax and leather -- which brings up the old observation that men are excited by a woman who wears leather... because she smells like a new truck!
"Va-va-va-vooom!" is, after all, an engine noise!

Well, it's that time again, when we switch back to Standard Time. I know Amy will be elated, while I'm disappointed. However, I do agree with her on one thing: these time changes need to end. I would have simply been fine with adjusting the time back 1/2 hour and leaving it that way forever. That way, people like Amy and people like me would both get something out of it.
All these auto accidents from going back to Standard Time, then all the heart attacks from going back to Daylight Time indicate that this system just isn't worth it.

Please no 1/2 hour on daylight savings time, I don't care which our it is but on the hour so it makes sense with 90% of the world.
Have my own bad things with the time switch. I used to have a co worker who had diabetes bad, you wouldn't guess it because as a control he exercised a lot and watched what he ate. So his diet and timing of when he ate was very regimented and being late with a meal by an hour would be enough to make him foggy and lose track of time and forget to eat. We noticed this about him so for the week after time change we watched him like a hawk at lunch time till his body got used to the new schedule. After retirement he had a bad episode right after time change let to a few weeks in hospital.
Anyone following the Rittenhouse trial? Having seen Gaiges testimony I think it's basically over. Gaige is supposedly suing the city, and is supposedly a ACLU 'observer'. Who was illegally armed and on camera calling for revolution, and going after Kyle with intention to attack him not really 'observer' actions. So can Kyle and/or the city sue the ACLU for sending Gaige? Since he was not an observer but an instigator.

Celery? Isn't that just what you put under cream cheese or peanut butter? Or dip in blue cheese dressing?
Combine it with pimento-stuffed green olives, and that is what my mother would serve just before dinner on summer evenings.
But I do like licorice. Even the black licorice. Though I recently read that it can actually be fatal in extreme doses.
