What Every Gorilla Needs
It's the Gorillapod flexible tripod, the perfect device for photographing wildlife in the home and beyond!
From Amy's Mall, where so many of you have been great about buying stuff to help me make up for the downturn in newspapers. (Meanwhile, I'm writing as fast as I can to begin putting together what I think will be my new book). As I wrote at about the Gorillapod at my Mall:
A present I bought for Gregg. He loves it. You can even hang your camera upside down from a tree. Just make sure you attach it carefully!
Also, make sure you get the more heavy-duty one if you plan on shooting with one of those big pro cameras (a digital SLR).

P.S. Thank you all again - have over $104 in Amazon purchases this month -- if I get just 15 more, my kickback rate goes up to 7 percent (from 6.50).
And to tell you how that compares, in the past, before I told you all I was in a spot of trouble thanks to papers going under and killing sections, I used to sometimes get, oh, $19 a month.
Also, I need to get some ads, but April is "the cruelest month" for me -- so I haven't gotten around to pitching anybody on advertising on my site. If you know of anybody, please send them my way. Intro rates are cheap!

Hey, I already bought that through Amy's Mall! Works great, too. You really can twist the legs into a sort of monkey grip thingy and hang your camera off of the refigerator door handle or whatever and it doesn't slip!
I got the red one. Because it's cool, and I'm cool too.

PS Gregg is super-hard to shop for. If it's tech, he's already got it or figured out why it's crap six months before I've ever heard of it. This was one of the exceptions.
