Diana West On How Islam Ruins Everything
In the wake of 9/11, every time (like today) that I have a package to mail that weighs more than 13 ounces, I am forced by Islam to go to the post office rather than dropping it in a mailbox. This sucks half an hour out of my day, uses gas, and pisses me the hell off. And then, of course, there are the hours I lose every time I go to the airport, and the rage I feel at it, and at being comprehensively searched when I have done nothing wrong. And then I lose with-Gregg hours, as he travels frequently and has to get to the airport to go through the search process far in advance of the time he would've otherwise. And finally, there's our military and those at the WTC, and people like Daniel Pearl who've lost their lives to give some gullible fucker those 72 virgins he was told he'd get, when there's no evidence that, when humans die, we become anything more than dinner for worms. Islam costs American business and Americans in so many ways.
Syndicated columnist Diana West reminds writes about how Islam has changed all of our lives:
Because Islam is a growing presence in the West, Western countries must now and presumably forever expend vast sums of money and manpower to manage - not defeat, just manage - the jihad that can break out in acts large and small at any time. Increasingly, this also means deferring to Sharia. Finally, my pre-conference frisk is over. Hallelujah, I am no threat to society and allowed to pass. I go on to meet for the first time the great author Wafa Sultan, and meet again the great Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders, the two most illustrious speakers on the conference roster. Both Sultan and Wilders, of course, live under unrelenting, permanent and Islamic threat of death for their critiques of Islam, in a very real way suffering every day for defying Sharia's prohibition against criticizing Islam. But does the outrageousness of their plight resonate with their fellow citizens? I don't think so. I think we've all grown much too used to it, and dully complacent.
But imagine if I had written, circa 1970, that for his critique of communism, Ronald Reagan lived under unrelenting, permanent and communist threat of death in his beloved California, that he couldn't travel the streets of Los Angeles without a massive security retinue, that he could no longer even sleep in his own home. Wouldn't Americans have become rightly agitated over the communist enemy within?
I think the answer would have been yes, but the point is, no such mortal homeland danger existed at that time for those who spoke against the leading threat to Western-style liberty. Today, a mortal homeland danger does exist. I won't tell you what it was like to slip in and out of the Wilders security bubble during the course of his stay in Copenhagen, but suffice it to say, it is both a veritable shame and an outrage that his life depends on that bubble, and that for speaking his mind in defense of Western-style liberty he has lost his own freedom.
The same goes for Wafa Sultan, who, for attacking the repressiveness of Islamic law (under which she existed for 30 years in Syria), also lives privately a similarly wary, hunted life that necessitates protective security measures.
Remember, this is happening in the ``Free World.'' Whether in Denmark, Holland or the United States, the heavy hand of Islamic law is pressing in on its leading critics, squeezing the freedom out of their existence. It is time to say enough - literally enough, for example, and stop Sharia by stopping Islamic immigration - and throw off the rising chokehold of jihad-advanced Sharia.

Anyone who places their religon above the law needs the boot, whether it be muslims, hindus, christains - whatever

Amy, I sent you this link via email earlier today.

EXACTLY! Stop letting these people into our countries and then because we're so worried about not being PC we have to bow to whatever crazy-ass shit they want. If they want to live in England, or Holland, or America or wherever than they have to adapt to those countries' ways not the other way around. Why is this such a controversial issue? It's common sense. Frankly if they love their freakin' Islam so much they should WANT to go back to their repressive Sharia-run country. So I say send 'em back!

Amy, You've woken me up to very real threat. I used to be one of those who thought that Islam was peaceful and the Muslims that were killing people were extremists.
Then I started reading your blog and the articles and news releases you linked to. I've also done further research on my own.
I've re-read the Koran, and I've talked to relatives living in Israel & Europe. I've also talked to some Muslim friend of mine-asking them if they truly KNEW what their religion was about. They didn't! Most hadn't even read *all* of the Koran. They're now asking questions and searching for their own answers.
You are very correct in your assumption that Islam is a threat to any modern way of life.
I'm now awakened and am telling everyone I know and everyone who *may* read my blog.
This does not mean I *hate* all Muslims. I don't. I have an extreme prejudice against the ones that want to kill me & mine. (I would feel the same against anyone/group that wanted to kill me and mine.)
It's like it's been said here before- You don't see any other religion killing to get their word across.

While I don't agree with all your views on Middle Eastern policy, I'm with you on this one... Sharia Law does not belong in the Occident. Immigration needs to be limited.
This is something I am worrying about as we ponder whether or not to repatriate to Switzerland, due to the birth rate of Swiss natives vs immigrants. My cousins who were raised there are not very political at all, at least not the ones my age. They are passive and polite and feel we somehow owe the third world due to colonization.
Yeah, um, wish they'd remind me where all those Swiss colonies were again?

It was my dream, someday, to buy a small apartment in Paris, and to go back and forth. Now, I think that's unwise.

I am so going to get reemed. I hate Islam! but, yep but I support freedom more then my hatred of Islam. In fighting Islam we should not be giving up are freedoms or even other peoples freedoms.

Anyone who places their religon above the law needs the boot, whether it be muslims, hindus, christains - whatever
What about other isms
What about homosexuals - they place their desires about laws of countries, cities, states(sodomy, marriage, children, etc) What about feminists- they kill (unborn) children sometimes they kill those children in contravention of their states laws. Damn forgot about those Rasteferians who smoke illegal drugs for their religion. Got to go... What about Chinese, Korean, Japanese they eat tiger balls, whale, dogs, snakes all at times against Federal, state, International laws. They have a belief that said tiger balls or dog meat will give them a stiffy or cure them of ails. I could go on......
So Luljp we need to boot out all people who disagree with the law. Who sets the law - You, the Majority, Corporations, PETA, etc. Damn I think there would be only hundred people left if the whole of the United States if we followed your logic and most of them would vegetables on life support. Who sets the standard of NORMAL are you ready the leave when you do not fit the standard.
As to you "Ban the Burkha" people as much as that black tent called clothes makes me want to scream, people should have the freedom or choice to wear what they want! So if some silly woman wants to wear something that is 110 degrees inside in the shade so be it. Just the same as Flaming Gay Ricardo who wears a purple feather boa a tight black mesh skin t-shirt and yellow banana hammock. He has the right to wear what he wants! Even Ricardo choice may make me want to scream too. Both of them, heck me too, all of us have that freedom, but we have them to live with the consequences out choices make. The Burhka woman will have to take off her veil if she wants service at a bank or needs to have her ID checked by a police officer. The same that poor Ricardo can not not get service at a 5 star restaurant unless he is wearing a jacket and tie OR the chance he will get slugged if he dancing around a daycare centre.
Remember that you in the US have been blessed with Freedoms, plural notice the S, not just freedom of speech but of religion too. Heck, freedom to not have a religion. It does not mean freedom from religion
So how do we fight against our losses of freedom against the hard and soft Jihadists. without in the process loosing our freedoms and choices. How?
John Paulson at June 24, 2009 9:43 PM
We could start with a little immigration control. Unless you're born here, you're a guest. You don't like our laws, piss off.
And if that doesn't work, I'm told that bullets stop jihadi every time.

The Muslims in CH are better assimilated than the Muslims in France, for a host of reasons, but ultimately because CH is a smaller country. Still, I hesitate to raise kids (the future kids that have yet to be conceived) in a country where we might soon be a minority. Especially with the fatalistic attitude I see in a lot of young Swiss people.
They fall into two extremes... "All the muslims, out! Don't let them do anything related to their culture!" or "Well, we're all going to be mixed in a few years anyways, that's what we get for having colonies." (Again, where were these Swiss colonies they keep going on about? It's the most absurd thing ever).
NicoleK at June 25, 2009 6:29 AM
John their is a huge differce between gay people who want equality under the law as promised to them by the law and supertisious fuckwads who think their specail relationship to a marketing icon designed to keep neolithic peons in their place gives them the right to tell me how to live and die.
And I'll let you in on a secret if you promise not to tell anyone, those people you sited breaking various laws. They are taken out of society as punishment, its called "prison" - dont tell anyone though
