No, not a big fence around your home, not new door locks. In fact, you don't have to lock your doors at all. Just put up a big sign: "Burglars, go 'way!" Or, at the very least, "Hey, peaceful, unarmed visitors, beware! There might be burglars in here!" Just as the Obama administration is doing on Arizona's borders.

According to your spelling, a person connected with the rancher's Mexican tenant killed him and left his dog with serious moral issues?

The rancher who was killed was the proverbial last straw. A string of kidnappings in Phoenix and scattered violence connected with illegal immigration had already soured Arizonans on the subject.
