No idea whose legs they were, just followed her and took the shot. Unfortunately, I only had my phone with me, not my Canon, so it's a little murky. But, I always love a nice pair 'o gams.
As far as your link goes, Crid, I'll post on this tomorrow (the topic, that is...already have a blog item started on it, thanks to a very knowledgeable woman who pulled together an amazing litany of science on diet). I normally love Katherine Mangu-Ward, but she has no business writing about topics she knows nothing about: dietary science and what makes people fat.

I have shoes like that. Actually, they come a little higher up the leg and have a bunch of buckles, but it's the same effect. I can't imagine just being out running errands in them, though. Ouch.

I have a science background, get my ass kicked by an epidemiologist about how to read studies, and know who knows science and who doesn't, and what is good science and what isn't.
When I read studies for my work, I sometimes take WEEKS to analyze just one, sometimes writing to the author with more questions, poring over stats books, etc. And I know what I don't know. For example, notice that I NEVER blog about climate change/global warming. Climatology is incredibly complex, I don't understand it, and, by the way, neither do most of the people writing about it.

I'd respectfully suggest that if you don't understand it, you don't have the scientific knowledge to figure out who knows what they are writing about and who does not.

I think you misunderstand me. For example, there's a girl in the French group I used to be in who arranges flowers for a living. She knows all about global warming/climate change: what caused it, what needs to be done, etc. Many reporters who write about this are about as qualified in terms of their science background as she is.

I LOVE wearing super-high heels anywhere and everywhere, only they have to have a really wide base so they don't kill my knees. Stilettos are ruinous on my joints. What I adore are the shoes with heels that have a long width along the back side accompanied with a narrow width along the side-side, so that they have a sleek profile like stilettos. I could (and have) walk miles in those things and look damn fine doing it, LOL!

A "science background"? Is that like a degree, or is it more like an appointment? The kind where you can tell other people what they ought to be writing?

Those sneakers are prolly uncomfortable, but they look so dam good...

The last time I saw shoes like that, there was a pole involved.

I have a jean skirt like that. :-) But I'm not sure I could handle the heel on those booties. You need excellent balance for that.

Nice legs! But is that a hole in her hose or is that just a blur from the camera?

I'm willing to be proved wrong.
