Genius Device For Laptop Users Who Fly Coach
I have been able to use my laptop in the most cramped coach situations, thanks to my Keynamics AVIATOR Laptop Stand that angles my computer upward, making it take up much less front-to-rear space. Here's a photo demo.

I don't see how this could help. Of the photo demo link that loaded, none show it used on airplane.
It appears like it raises up the back of the laptop. I usually cannot open up the screen (14") because of the seat in front of me even with the laptop actually on lap. This device appears like it would make things worse.
One position that has worked for me for a short period of time is the screen is basically on my lap and the keyboard is up my body. Uncomfortable, but workable.

I think I see how it could work. It's on a small pedestal that takes up less surface area than the actual laptop. So you have a surface large enough to accommodate the laptop that can rest on a smaller surface.
Plus it's been my observation that tray tables are simply too high to rest one's laptop on and work. With this gadget, it angles the keyboard down slightly, to make reaching the keys easier and keep your wrists straighter.

The photos, for some reason, aren't coming out at the link, just boxes with ??s.

It's just great -- Patrick is right about how it works. It makes the laptop sit at an angled position so it takes up much less room. It's absolutely fantastic. It's allowed me to work on my computer on flights where it would otherwise have been physically impossible.

I won't bore you with why, but that could not have been a more perfect nudge, Amy.
(Bought it through your link.)

You'll be amazed at how it transforms an unworkably small space into a workable one. I only remembered to tell people about it because I'm writing the airplane rudeness chapter.

Actually, if you watch the first video, within the first minute they show it being used on a airplane.

Thanks for the updated link. That looks like it could be a nice product for some situations. Including business class, which is what they appear to show - way too much room to be economy.
