I wish I had a better understanding of fashion. Videos like this really bring it home for me. I feel like I miss out on all these girly experiences because they seem to be speaking an alien language (uptalk aside).

I must have missed this special class growing up.

I have friends who get this excited about shopping and clothes purchases.

Whenever women tell me how much more mature & sophisticated they are than men I frequently bring up the obsession man of them have with shopping. Sorry, but I will never equate a shopping addict with maturity ... or intelligence.

Did anybody but me notice the expression on the face of one girl while the other girl was talking? It seemed like a slight scowl.

On the other hand, it seemed to me that either one of the girls would probably do well working at Forever 21. I could see them advising customers on outfits and accessories. Also, from what the girls bought, the Forever 21 store seems to have pretty decent prices. Is that typical?

Not quite. Let me clear up your slight confusion by rephrasing your comment:

Each sex needs goods that will help promote them to the opposite sex. A man must acquire goods, like a Ferrari. A woman already has goods, which she proves when she takes off her dress.

BTW, with a woman that makes him hot, a man doesn't give a flyin' F whether that dress is new or is an old potato sack! And a new dress won't make a bit of difference if he's otherwise not interested.

If you told me I would never again see, impress, or lay hands upon a woman, I would still want a Ferrari very, very badly.

When I was in HS, these "haul" girls were a turnoff and I figured the feminists were better. Revised my views several times since then.

American girls respond to stories not with interest or follow-up questions but with their own stories that technically aren’t stories at all but merely incomplete anecdotes. You can tell her you went to Africa to develop a system of building cost-effective mudbrick huts for the poor and she’ll respond with “Cool, yeah I traveled last year to Thailand and it was so awesome. I love travel!”

Forever 21 is great for inexpensive, trendy clothes. They also have some incredibly cheap basics-I have $4 leggings and $5 t-shirts in every color of the rainbow that I wear allll the time. The only issue I have is that their clothes is that sometimes they can look cheap-I wouldn't dress head-to-toe in Forever 21 like these girls are doing, but it seems to be working for them.

And men probably don't care about a women's clothing as much as we think they do, but they do care to some degree. You might not notice if a women has the latest season's handbag, but you'll probably notice if her look is stuck in the 80s or she's wearing something completely ill-fitting.The TLC show What Not to Wear is a good example of how clothes really make a big difference. I also think that liking shopping is highly correlated with liking to work out, take care of yourself etc so if you want a women that looks good chances you'll have to put up with some shopping.
