Everything tastes better with bacon!!!

You haven't lived until you try hot bacon dressing over shredded cabbage.

That sounds pretty good, but don't you have to cook the cabbage first, and do you have to cook it for a lot of days? (Raw foods are hard on my stomach, and probably a lot of people's, but maybe so is cooking cabbage -- hard on your life.)

My dad is from W. Virgina, he still cooks everything in bacon fat (they keep a glass jar of it in the fridge) and his choloesterol numbers are text book. He fries cabbage in bacon fat, with a little salt, pepper, sugar and a little water to steam it. It's quite delicious. Hmmmm I haven't had any in years, I may have to make some soon.

Two words: bacon mayonnaise.

Ooh, top a steak with the bacon mayonaiuse for a poor-man's hollendaise sauce. Too delicious.

No -- the bacon dressing is warm and wilts the cabbabge. It can also be served over spinach. Lettuce is okay, but not quite the same.

OMG I so totally did not need to know about that. I may just have to get myself a Christmas present this year.

This outfit, in the middle of nowhere, has a neat dish: praline bacon. Yep. Bake bacon in brown sugar.
