I wish Amazon shipped electronics overseas. Looks like I am stuck with dealextreme.com. (Sorry little plug/advert.) I wish I could send you one of their portable cell phone signal jammers to you Amy. I think you would love it!

I get annoyed with inappropriate cell phone use, but I disagree with the jammers. Some people legitimately need to answer their phone, such as doctors.

Meloni, I don't approve of cell phone jammers for the same reason. I write about that in I See Rude People, which I hope you've all read. Worked really hard to make it a worthwhile read, and I need to sell as many as possible by the end of March, when my new agent will take my next book to publishers.
PS Buying a new copy or Kindle copy (not a "bargain" one -- they're Borders overstock bought cheap and resold) helps me earn back my advance and "counts" as a book sale.
What about your book "Free Advice" will that every be made into an ebook. Already got the "I See Rude People". Do you need more sales on the book or would a donation be a good alternative.
Sorry for the off topic. Will have to read the book again. Most portable cell jammers have a limited range of couple of meters. Plus only last a few minutes. Portable cell phone jammers would be good as avoid confrontation for those jerks on buses or in restaurants.
Yes some people will need to make a call or have an emergency. But very rarely have I heard one in person or if I have it is the general "What!, wait..." and person out the door. So doctors I understand. What about computer technicians, hair stylists, or housewives they also need to be reached at any time. Or parents, god forbid their teen is out of reach for a couple of hours.
The emergency excuse I would put up there with the we have to check everyones cleavage, crack and corner because one person once tried to blow up a plane with some flammable shoes or some idiot wore exploding panties. Just because something might happen it should not happen at all.
Thou I did get a plug-in big one for my class. Ever try to take a hand phone way from a middle school girl. Never heard such crying.

Thanks so much -- and I need more sales of the $12.75 one or Kindle. (Bargain one doesn't count toward my advance -- cheapo copies bought from Borders, somebody told me, and resold.) Here's a link:
