God fucking dammit. Forgetting to enter my name and email while posting is as agitating and painful to me as stubbing my toes. You'd think I'd stop doing it! Especially since returning to the orginal entry from the error page completely erases the entry I composed.
The other day I posted a link about a comic site, The Oatmeal, who was threatened with litigation if he didn't pay 20k. Long story short, The Oatmeal had long complained that another site regularly stole his work and posted it uncredited on their website, among other things. The Oatmeal responded that he would attempt to raise 20k in twenty days, and send half to the a wildlife charity and half to a cancer charity (BearLove Good, Cancer is Shitty tagline). He would send a pic of the money to the atty/complainant.
He raised the first 20k in 64 minutes, and the amount is presently nearing 200k. The complaining atty is now suing him, the site that is hosting is fundraiser, and if I read correctly, is suing or at least considering suing the charities who will receive the money.
I thought the story was interesting. Here's the original Bear Love response. I will post the recent lawsuit article in a subsequent post so I don't get spaminated. http://theoatmeal.com/blog/funnyjunk_letter

Here is one link. I think there will be one more. Sorry, I had a migraine earlier today and they always make me a bit off my game afterward.
Here is response from The Oatmeal. I"m sure there is another article floating around, but I haven't tracked it down yet and I'm really behind in my workday.

Since art is a popular topic here lately, I just wanted to gush about a really awesome belated b-day present my bf bought me.
At a yardsale on Saturday I saw a gorgeous painting (not a print) by some person named R Daford. It was a Parisian street scene with the Eiffel Tower in the background, and it was painted in black and white so it had a B&W photo feel to it (but all that depth and bumpiness you get on a painting). The sellers wanted 60 bucks and I let my shy side take over and didn't bargain. In the car I told bf about this painting I really liked. He went back and looked at the painting, then brought it back for me. He paid 20 bucks. I wish I knew how to show it off here. I think it's really pretty and it was so sweet for the bf to snap it up for me.
Huh?

Meloni, if you just back-button, the original post is still there. On my Mac, at least.

Thanks momof4. I will try that next time. I've been clicking the link that says it will take me back to the original spot.

Meloni,
First-off get Firefox and set it as your default browser.
Second, if you setup FF correctly the fields will either fill in themselves or be a simple dropdown.
Third: M4 is right, the back button works. Don't use the link.
