Hey, TSA: Deaf People Aren't Dumb; They Just Can't Hear
(But, as your thugs are about to find out -- they sure can lip read!)
Xeni Jardin posted at BoingBoing about another truly disgusting story out of the TSA checkpoint. The headline:
Deaf man writes that TSA agent mocked him as "F*cking deafie," then stole his candy, ate it
Tea & Theatre is the man's web moniker, and he posted about what happened to him:
While I was going through the TSA, some of them started laughing in my direction. I thought it might've been someone behind me, but I found out otherwise. They went through my bag (for no reason), and found a couple bags of candy I brought. I was told I wasn't allowed to fly with that (wtf? I've flown with food before -- these were even sealed still because I brought them right in the airport). I was then asked if I would like to donate the candy "To the USO". Since I know the airport there has an Air National Guard base, and I figured it would go to the soldiers, I (annoyed) said sure, why not?
The guards, as I was getting scanned, started eating the candy they just told me was for the soldiers. In front of me, still laughing at me (very clearly now). One of them asked why they were laughing, and one of them came up to me, pointed at my shirt, laughed at me and said, "Fucking deafie". The Louisville TSA called me a "fucking deafie" and laughed at me because I was deaf, and they expected wouldn't say anything back (or wouldn't hear them). Make no bones about it -- she was facing me and I read her lips. There was no mistake. I would later find out that they had called at least 4 other individuals the same thing.
Read the rest of his post at his site -- particularly the part where the TSA witch calls them "Dump apes" with a "gesture language."

The TSA, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, is made up of the following types of people:
1. Power hungry thugs
2. Thieves
3. Moral cowards
4. Actual cowards
5. Uneducated, unqualified incompetents
6. Criminally abusive assholes.
Now not every member of the TSA falls into all six categories, I tend to suspect that the 3rd category is the most populous. Probably followed by the 5th, but there is probably a lot of overlap between these categories.
And so that I'm clear, a moral coward is someone who can work next to a criminal or a thug, day after day, do absolutely 0 about it, and sleep well at night because at least they themselves did not personally steal, lie, or abuse someone...they just collect a paycheck and stand by while someone else does.

Gross.
This past weekend, I had some duty free chocolate confiscated from me at the gate (in one of TSA's extra special "surprise" pre-boarding checks for international flights), seconds before boarding my plane -- because the box said the chocolate was filled with Amarula liqueur, which apparently counts as a liquid.
I bet you anything those chocolates weren't donated to the USO either, judging from the size of the agent who took them...
I'm glad Amy covers this stuff. Every time I push back at a TSA agent, they act so surprised that I'm upset (about being mugged and molested) -- so clearly not enough people are pushing back.

The tumblr site is down. I wonder if it crashed due to traffic, or...?

You know... if Romney came out and said he'd disband the TSA, I swear I'd give him half my 401K.
As for these TSA dickheads, they once spent 15 minutes digging through my wife's backpack in a desperate search for a - wait, wait... a micro-mini-leatherman with a blade you'd use to circumcise a dust mite. My wife STILL gets pissed thinking about it.

Gary Johnson says he will disband the TSA. Will you give him half of your 401k? He could use it more than Romney.
Dwatney at July 10, 2012 6:18 PM
I no longer have a 401K. It pretty much turned to dust from all the busts.
I will vote and even consider doing volunteer work for someone who would abolish about 80% of the federal government.

Guess its time to post this again.
For all you regular readers of the Goddess' blog you can skip past this post. I'm going to post my regular rant about not needing the TSA. For all you new readers, please read it carefully and refute any statement or misstatement. ;-)

The TSA was not needed one hour and one minute after Tower II was hit!
The paradigm, the norm, the expected, what everyone was taught to do was to sit down, shut up and wait for the plane to land and the negotiations happen. That was the model from Entebbe onward.
The passengers on board did not really know what was about to happen on September 11, 2001 at 8:46:30 when Flight 11 struck Tower I.
Even the passengers on Flight 175 probably didn't realize what was about to happen when they struck Tower II at 9:03:02.
The Pentagon crash of Flight 77 at 9:37:46 may have been still a matter of ignorance.
At 10:03:11 on September 11, 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 crashed after the brave souls counter-attacked and caused the hijackers to crash the plane.
The time difference is 60 minutes and 9 seconds from Tower II being struck to the crash of Flight 93. The shoe bomber and panty bomber were taken down by fellow passengers as well. Recently, JetBlue's Flight 191 pilot was taken down by the passengers once he was out of the cockpit. Additionally how many times have you heard of passengers' concerns and diverted flights?
The TSA is and has always been a joke, no make that a total stupidity, that has wasted our country's fortune going down a rabbit hole.
If you don't believe me look at the 9/11 timeline.
There will never be another 9/11 style attack unless the attackers can arrange planes full of geriatrics, and even then it would be doubtful.

I agree with you. This would also apply to just about every police officer and other law enforcement in the United States.

I make some exceptions with police and law enforcement, since at least at the outset you expect recruits to have their ideals intact before they start covering for thieving, lying, rights abusing partners, before doing the same things themselves.
