A Girl And Her Fan
Maximum cool.
Southern California has been one giant pizza oven the last few days, but Lucy's not about to let that cramp her style.

That's a seriously good photograph.
1970's Hellchild antecedent.

She just doesn't look right without her bow. ;-)

The way the fan is blowing her ears back, Lucy looks like she has 1980's hair!
Okay, I know, I gotta go to work now.

This is why dogs are so much cooler than most people - honesty with no pretenses. Yep, Lucy, like most dogs, seriously doesn't care what she looks like, just got to keep cool, man!
Awesome picture!

I find that especially adorable, because as I described him when I was looking for him at a party on a friend's Topanga ranch the other night, "He's a big guy from Detroit in a black hat and a white shirt."

Amy,
Absoltuely, true elegance is without pretense.
BlogDog, I was thinking the same thing - cool!

Ohmigosh....Lucy, I can relate! We have all the AC's and fans going in New Orleans. You look adorable...we just look like we're going thru a heat wave.
Now, what I want to see is a pic of the Goddess in front of the fan. *giggle*

Friday and Saturday were the really hot days, Sunday wasn't nearly as bad down here (San Diego) but still warm. Today is about like yesterday, maxed out in mid-80s I think.
Friday really sucked for me, first 100+ day at home in awhile and I woke up with a gallstone attack and had to spend part of the day in the ER confirming that's what it was. Though at least it was cool in there.
Thankfully I have central AC at home, but it worked it's butt off all day Fri/Sat to keep the inside at 80.
Miguelitosd at September 17, 2012 4:52 PM
Oh yeah, and my dog is totally spoiled with the AC. I used to leave her in the front yard (walled yard) while at work but one neighbor complained (all the rest said the one neighbor was nuts) but I knew I'd probably have to keep her in the house since I would worry about the crazy neighbor doing something. I had my new windows and AC (central AC/furnace combo) done right at that time.
First day (this was in mid-July) after the AC was installed, I had to really coax her to come back in. 2nd day, she came in quickly when asked. 3rd day, I try to get her to go out and do her thing (if she needs to) before I go to work... she looks at me like, "Are you crazy? I'm not going out there!" Turns around, and lays down. She's been an indoor dog while I'm out of the house ever since.
