Jay-Z No Supporter Of Occupy Wall Street
From the NY Daily News, Rich Shapiro writes that Jay-Z found their message a mess:
"I don't know what the fight is about. What do we want? Do you know?"Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, transformed himself from a poverty-stricken crack dealer to a multimillionaire music mogul and co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets.
He said Occupy Wall Street's blanket demonization of the rich is un-American.
"I think all those things need to really declare themselves a bit more clearly because when you just say that 'the 1 percent is that,' that's not true," he said.
"Yeah, the 1 percent that's robbing people, and deceiving people, these fixed mortgages and all these things, and then taking their home away from them, that's criminal, that's bad.
"Not being an entrepreneur. This is free enterprise. This is what America is built on."

JayZ has a peculiar relationship to free enterprise.

Well, that's actually a fairly sensible comment from the guy.
Although, there's plenty to despise him for - especially for the kind of behavior he's calling out in this quote. As Abersouth pointed out, he's just fine stealing peoples homes and businesses to make more money.

He dares to criticize the mob? The mob will retaliate

Jay Z is proof of the lie of the mob. They claim it is impossible for someone to rise out of poverty and become rich in America. Because everything is stacked against you.
Except Jay Z did it, so it is possible.
Occupy has been going on for about a year, getting paid to sit around and chant slogans, you'ld think they would have a real message by now.

The real message of OWS isn't about vilifying the rich, it's about the fraud that corrupts every layer of our financial "services" industry.
Number One on the OWS complaint list is Fractional Reserve Banking-- which is the practice of creating money out of thin air, and then lending it to you and me, with interest. Fractional Reserve Banking is fraud, pure and simple. Banks are not empowered to create money, but it's been the mainstay of banking for as long as banks have existed.

Really? Cause every interview I saw was bitching about the elitist 1%. Not one fucking word about the banks bailed out BY DEMOCRATS

Jay-Z the crack dealer feels uncomfortable being told that unfettered greed is bad for society?
Wah. Cry me a river. The man needs to go rescue some crack babies and see the damage he's done and then come back and beg America's forgiveness.
