How To Have The Entire World See You Naked
Jay J. Hector sent me a link from CBS/DC about a finding from a British study that claims that the vast majority of home porn ends up online:
WASHINGTON (CBS DC) - The vast majority of homemade pornography and private images on personal computers ends up on public websites called "parasites."Eighty-eight percent of homemade pornography, including videos and still images, finds its way onto porn sites, often without the owners' knowledge, a new study from Britain's Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has found.
The study analyzed more than 12,000 sexually explicit images uploaded by young people and found that the great majority of images had been stolen and published to what the organization calls, "parasite" websites.
These "parasites," which are exclusively designed for hosting sexual images featuring young subjects, allegedly obtain their material from anywhere they can get it: lost or stolen cellphones, hacked private accounts on Photobucket, Flickr, or Facebook, or from chat sites and Tumblr, a blogging platform notorious for the amount of explicit self-published content by high school and college-age students.
"We need young people to realize that once an image or a video has gone online, they may never be able to remove it entirely," Susie Hargreaves, CEO of the Internet Watch Foundation, told the Guardian newspaper in London. "Once an image has been copied on to a parasite website, it will no longer suffice to simply remove the image from the online account."
If you don't take the naked pix, they can't see your bits. Problem solved. Do what you want, but don't let them photograph you. And hope there are no cameras hidden in the cross-eyed teddy bear.

Taking pictures during sexy times can be really hot. I've done it quite a bit, but stick to two simple rules: either face or naughty bits in the pic - never both at the same time...and the pics are deleted the day the relationship ends.

How about 'Take all the pics or vid you want but DON'T POST THE DAMN THINGS!'
That just might work...

hahahaha... don't make me laugh.
as IF you have control of this.
And how many of these uploads are done by jilted lovers, the ex's NEXT lover or whatever.
TIME is the key. What seems amusing or hot this moment may be embarrassing or stupid in a minute, and you can't take it back. It is infinitely worse if there are physical records of that. IT the EXIST, then there is the potential for them to be used against you...
or accidentally replied all on the office email, telling the whole company that you like to be whipped at home...
and then HR ask why you are harassing every female in the company by sending that email...
follow to it's logical end.
It is this potential that makes it hot, just like doing it publicly, because the potential of being caught is the thrill.
Until you lose your job, or your kids over it.

SwissArmy D - you beat me to the punch. Yep, how many times do we hear about a jilted ex "publishing" those pics - all the time, man, all the time!
Amy is absoltuely right on this - if you don't take the pic then if will never show up on the web. period. (photoshopped pics don't count, do they?)

ahhhhhh. the blessings of freedom, modern technology, and timeless human nature. Thank god for our god-given rights, including our god-given right to be stupid. Without these rights, there would be no literature, no drama, or, worse, no need for Amy's column. The world would be a crashing bore. Thank god for stupidity. We are the richer for it.

Polaroids (from what I've read) didn't help Dr. Laura . . .

" Internet publication of nude photos
In 1998, Schlessinger's early radio mentor, Bill Ballance, sold nude photos that he had taken of Schlessinger in the mid-1970s to a company specializing in internet porn. The photos were taken while Schlessinger was involved in a brief affair with then-married Bill Ballance.[76][77] Schlessinger sued after the photos were posted on the internet,[78] claiming invasion of privacy and copyright violation. The court ruled that Schlessinger did not own the rights to the photos; she did not appeal the ruling.[79] She told her radio audience that she was embarrassed, but that the photos were taken when she was going through a divorce and had "no moral authority."[76][80]"

This is pretty darned funny. That people think that everyone's computer or phone is at the beck and call of every malefactor out there. The sad truth is, those pictures that turn up on "parasite" sites were posted to the 'net by somebody. ever been on Tumblr?

Does anyone remember Napster?
Then there was the war driving scheme that went on for a long time. (And I still think it goes on.)
There are so many holes in PC (and MAC) security that no one is aware of that it is scary. I'm a white hat and if I happen to spot them, I pass it on to the end user. But even then I, as an IT professional, compromise them, sometimes, on my own network for the sake of end-users. I generally don't make any compromises that will cause me to see the inside of a federal or state correctional institute.

People can pretty easily hop into your computer and yank stuff off of it.

No. It's not that easy. I've only taken a single nudie on my cell, though. Of a woman who absolutely did not care if the whole bloody world saw her naked. Phones are tricky.

Since I'm the one with the pics, I pretty much have control of this. And, guess what - if the pictures never display my face, I don't really care that much. So what if they get on the internet? A picture of a naked, skinny dude with an awe-inspiring erection but otherwise without any distinguishing marks of any kind? Well, that's not me! Even if it is.
I simply, flat out refuse to live my life in fear. If I'm going to not do anything that could end badly, my life would suck. Some of the best things I've done, could have ended horribly wrong. But I try to keep things in perspective, and think about what are the worst possible consequenses? How likely is it that things will actually go that bad? And how much do I want to do this? I don't wear a helmet when I carry out the trash, even though I could trip and crack my skull. Not worth the effort. And I never drive without my seatbelt, because that IS worth the effort. But the actual risk of someone finding pics of me naked, without my face on them and posting them online? Not very likely and not a big problem if it happens. Cause that is not me on those pics.

Here's something to look at: Select the "Shields Up!" option to profile your machine on the Internet.
Note that sometimes, your router is the thing reported.
