Hair Tomorrow
In deeply superficial news, I now have bangs. I also seem to have a flower growing into my chest in this photo, taken in the bathroom of the Aubusson Hotel where we met photographer and Paris-dwelling Detroit girl Sue Rynski for drinks.

Wow! You look GREAT!

Women are nuts to spend a hundreds of dollars on face creams, which can't erase your wrinkles and leather flesh. All you need to do is keep the sun off your face. It's all that really matters. Which is why, though I'm on a budget, I just bought two years worth of French sunblock -- in case we can't get back here for a while. Other than that, I'm getting two scarves.

I eat kale every morning now, cooked in the leftover bacon grease. I cook the hell out of it (on low heat in the hot bacon grease in a Corningware bowl with a lid on it in the microwave) until it's crunchy. Note: Kale burns easily, so cook it on low-low-low and only for a few minutes. You have to test what works with your microwave.
Oh, and also, I put coconut oil in my coffee. Sounds gross, but it's pretty good. Dr. Michael Eades recommends buffalo butter, which you have to whip up. (Coconut oil I just microwave.) It has MCTs -- Medium Chain Triglycerides -- which are very good for you.

You look kinda like McArdle. Maybe there's really only one blogger lady and they just use different dressings on the websites.

Not to keep ringing the same bell, but you DO look so young!
I use SPF 100 and am a huge fan of hats and long sleeves even (especially?) in the hot Phoenix summers. The sun will do awful things to skin. I have friends ten years older than I that could be mistaken for my mother.

Your picture reminds me of Molly Ringwald in The Breakfast Club - because you look about the age of a high school girl!

Amy, how about a post on how to properly wear a scarf? I can never pull off that Parisienne look.

It's basically making a slip-knot.
I actually should do a YouTube video and try to get ad dollars. A lot of people want to know this!

My friend Emily says I should write a book on what I eat, how I dress, etc., and I told her I'm not famous enough to do that. But, she and Gregg kept at me a bit on this over coffee one day, and I was thinking, maybe I could do something on how to be an ordinary person who looks good at almost age 50 (I'm 48).
And really, beyond my genes, I think my skin looks good due to three things: eating a lot of meatfat, cheesefat, and butter in my diet; eating kale daily; French sunblock (which you can buy here and which is the ONLY makeup product I spend real money on, save for the occasional tube of MAC lipstick).
I also started putting coconut oil in my coffee, for its Medium Chain Triglycerides, and because fat feeds the brain.
