From Slate, a 1901 note to Santa from 8-year-old Edsel Ford shows that there were tougher times before the going got good for Henry Ford:
"Dear Santa Claus, I Haven't Had Any Christmas Tree in 4 years And I Have Broken All My Trimmings And I Want Some More..."

While I appreciate Henry Ford's contribution to American manufacturing, his antisemitism still rankles me.

But, as an adult, you can look at people who are flawed in ugly ways and appreciate the stuff that they did contribute. I look at him as an entrepreneurial example, not an example of warm-hearted openness to others.
