Of the Paris photos you've posted here the past few months this one is, by far, my favorite. Beautiful. I love the composition.

Actually, that makes the ham-handed vignette treatment even less forgivable. Black and white, right? Art, man. Spectral tones.
But it's 2013. Do we have to pretend its the postwar Europe in 1953 all the time?
(FWIW, my favorite BW film composition to date is the CU of Renault in Rick's office. The white suit glows, the scrambled eggs on the hat are perfect, the right cheekbone gets only enough juice to share the actor's mood, and the lamp is like a fully grown elephant whispering over his shoulder. Gorgeous.)
