Thanks for linking that, Crid. I haven't finished reading it (I have it printed out), but it was horrible what was done to him. Alice Dreger also wrote a terrific piece, and I heard her and Nap talk about this at an ev psych conference a few years back.

Crid - I wanted to make your day. It's minus 9 degrees, windchill minus 36 degrees. I'm going down the hill to feed the horses and see if any of the chicken eggs that have been laid are unfrozen. Wish you were here.
Yesterday, I had to break the ice off of the horses' water tank - tank heater couldn't keep up. Did you know that your hand does not get wet when you stick your gloved hand in the water to pick out chunks of ice? The water freezes instantly so your had stays warm. Interesting, huh?

It was supposed to rain heavily today. The forecast has said so for days.
The sky is dark but dry. Los Angeles, y'know? Lotusland. Tinseltown.

I grew up in Los Angeles. Never owned a rain coat or rubber boots; 30 years and never needed them.
Buzz Lightyear - name itself would be worth a donation.
Tinseltown is looking up though. You have that chick from Venice fighting the chick from San Diego this Saturday night for UFC Championship. Venice was all hippie and druggies (did I just repeat myself) when I left. Now it has the beautiful Amy and Rhonda - hubba, hubba.

Here in Wisconsin I watched my dog's poop freeze to her ass this morning. I wanted to help, but she was too far out on the hill. She finally ended the suspense by dragging her bum a few feet in the snow.
It was brutal.
I miss California right now - if only for the weather.
Middle daughter had this movie on the DVD player last night.
Kay Thompson? Hilarious.
Audrey Hepburn? Babe.
Trivia: What series of children's books did Kay Thompson write?

That's the kind of entertainment that goes perfectly with fried cheese curds.

I'm now wondering whether I should move to Texas or stick it or in my current location.
