TSA Thugs Miss Another One -- Undercover Agent With Fake Bomb In His Pants
They're always there to cup your balls -- because the TSA's unskilled workers violating your body and your rights aren't about security but about jobs for people who'd otherwise be out of work, money for the connected Chertoffs of the world...and mainly about training you to be obedient when your rights are yanked from you.
The New York Post's Philip Messing writes:
The undercover TSA agent who got past Newark Airport screeners with an improvised explosive device in his pants exposed a stunning lack of security that the agency had better fix before al Qaeda strikes again, Rep. Peter King warned yesterday. The Long Island Republican wrote a scathing letter to Transportation Security Administration boss John Pistole demanding "immediate answers" about how the fed was able to get past a magnetometer and a secondary pat-down with the inert device, which he then could have brought onto a commercial flight.
The chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence called the Feb. 25 breach -- which was reported yesterday exclusively by The Post -- "yet another in a long line of security failures discovered at Newark."
The entire TSA is one huge "security failure," with thieving pedophiles and murderers as employees (police thyself first?!), and as a matter of principle.
As I've said before, it is simply ludicrous to think it is security to treat every single member of the flying public, even if they're 6 and in a wheelchair, as if they're a plausible member of al Qaeda.
It is ludicrous to have unskilled workers performing "security" as people board planes, when you find terrorists by having highly skilled intelligence workers use what the Constitution sets out -- probable cause (reasonable suspicion somebody has committed or will commit a crime) -- to investigate perps long before they ever enter an airport, mall, or other public arena.

And there are still holes in the security you could literally drive a truck through.
It is so much theater for all the sheeple.

I always opt out of the scan, and always get a half-assed groping that stops well short of a certain area of possible concealment. TSA officers are people -- dumb ones, but still -- and so usually try to avoid being drenched in awkwardness and misery all the time.

Well..
I look at it like this. My niece's father is in Afghanistan as we speak b/c of these awful terrorists.
It is not only TSA's job to seek out Terrorists; it is also their job to stop trafficking, transporting of drugs and the other gazillion things passengers are doing that are against the law.
I do understand how frustrating it is to have G'ma who in a wheel chair be patted down. However, whoever is with G'Ma may not be so sweet and a law abiding citizen and may use this opportunity to stick something in to her chair or dare I say diaper? Yes, if an elderly person is in a diaper; chances are they did not put it on their-self.
It is sickening to think or know it has been done before just like it has been with children.
However; this gives TSA NO RIGHT SO EVER to grope, steal our items and the the other unethical unprofessional things they have done to date.
I am curious to see what The Goddess Amy has to say to my comment. Does The Goddess Amy read comments?
FYI: I do not use a real email address when commenting; last time I did I got 1000 spam emails. They were not follow ups or emails about posts. The author of the blog didn't agree with my comment so they decided to sign me up for Newsletters about hemorrhoids and diarrhea like things. I do have a sense of humor but that was a little much. How do I know this was the blogger? It just so happens any time someone disagreed with this blogger; they got the same thing in their email box.

The mission of the thugs in the TSA is NOT to find drugs and they wouldn't know "trafficking" if a pimp came through in full cartoon pimp regalia.
Your niece's father is not in Afghanistan because of "these awful terrorists" but because for a number of reasons, including companies needing to make money by feeding the war machine and morons who think we can spread democracy like peanutbutter.
Your comment is just filled with nonthink.
Treating every citizen as a suspect is the way to see that the real suspects aren't caught. The TSA misses them with great regularity. 16 known terrorists went through airports 23 times in recent times, per a GAO report.
You do not catch terrorists by having people who are barely intellectually capable of working retail manning "security." You do it with targeted intelligence by highly trained intelligence officers working from probable cause. (That Constitution'y thing, ya know?)
And you endanger our society by yanking civil liberties for this joke of security theater that we have now.
And how ridiculous on the email address. You can set up an alternate address for blog comments that actually works.
Also, as I wrote in I See Rude People, when a guy signed me up for a bunch of mailing lists I tracked his ass down, called him on his cell phone, yelled at him, and demanded me send me $50 for my time and aggravation. Which he did.

First of all Amy, I am so sorry that happened to you. I remember hearing about this and can't believe it was you.
I am happy to see that you are turning a tragic (& fu****) situation into a positive one (the best you can) by taking a leadership role and being a voice for others who are not as brave as you. I salute you for that.
As far as your reply...
• Thanks for your reply
• The terrorists is not the only reason why we are over seas but it is one of them and I do see your point.
• I do agree 100% that we do need officers with Intelligence training. Do I ever!
• I do disagree with you saying
" The mission of the thugs in the TSA is NOT to find drugs"
but laughed at this because it is so true!
"and they wouldn't know "trafficking" if a pimp came through in full cartoon pimp regalia."
Why I disagree with you? At least I thought it was TSA job to seek out drug traffickers because I was at JFK and went through the routine (never patted down as you were) and was told to empty a travel Advil bottle to make sure it was the Advil and not something else. My face was red from the taxi driver smoking a cigar, for some reason when I am around smoke which never happened before; I swell up and cough & sneeze. When I asked if he could blow the smoke at the window he pretended to not know English. F'ker sure knew how to count money and say how much the ride was.
Anyhow, as I was going through "security" and put my purse trough the X-ray Machine I was asked to take out my make up bag and the "officer" asked me to "empty the contents out of my Advil pill bottle" I did. Then I asked why and the "officer" said I had a red face & was a sign of drug use. I explained to her what happened, she was a little more understanding; she then explained it was not only their job to ensure everyone's safety, it was also their job to prevent drug trafficking and transporting of drugs. I was a little confused because the size of a Advil travel bottle is not big. It holds 10 tablets.
Another time I was traveling; I observed a TSA "officer" ( you get my quotes, right?) telling a parent with a crying baby that since people in the past have put things in children's and elderly peoples diapers ( that is the exact quote!) they must open the diaper to make sure nothing is there that shouldn't be.
I can see people doing that.
So when you say my comment is "non think" I respectfully disagree with you.
"Perhaps you can put more insight into your views and change them so they make more sense."
I hope they make sense now.
"Also, as I wrote in I See Rude People, when a guy signed me up for a bunch of mailing lists I tracked his ass down, called him on his cell phone, yelled at him, and demanded me send me $50 for my time and aggravation. Which he did."
You are a goddess! Love it. I always make sure to let bloggers know so they do not think I am a troll.
"Read this here if you come back"
I am not good with tags so pardon my quoting.
I did see first paragraph. Will come back if I am welcome too.
