Amy's Got A Book To Turn In Blog Day
Can you all post some links here to talk about today? Funny stuff, political stuff, other stuff that interests you. One link per comment so your comment won't go to spam. I have to keep cracking away on the book, which is officially due Monday.
I'll try to post more blog items later.
To start you out, here's a funny one from Drew Carey:
@DrewFromTV Worst name for restrooms ever...

There he goes, waving and weeping.

The government can even screw up getting rid of the bullets:

I truly believe humanity is losing it's mind. It seems like just about every continent is melting down in one form or another.
At the end of a soccer match in Brazil a player was murdered and a referee was chopped into bits. What could inspire such behavior against innocents??
Warning: extremely graphic.

Is it me or is the allergen count too high?

Well, here we go with this invalid comparisons again.
You'd NEVER approve of a 1940's Plutonium disposal method. If you think about the production of that Plutonium - and I have, I work at Savannah River Site, where it was actually done - you'd never allow it to be produced by the same methods again. By modern standards, the production of fissile material was very risky through the 1980's. That is why those reactors are decommissioned - the reward is exceeded by the risk. It isn't just the cost.
I have stood in the process rooms containing the reactor vessel of "K" and "L" reactors when they were operable. They are magnificent ruins today, used for other functions while the nation reprocesses nuclear material into more-efficient packages.
That said, it's still horrible that the MOX people cannot seem to count. If you do not know what things cost, I do not know that you have provided all of the design features claimed!

Imagine a school with children that can read or write, but with teachers who cannot, and you have a metaphor of the Information Age in which we live. --Peter Cochrane

NASA's response to a 7 year old boy is adorable. Gotta have some good news to share today. I'm tired from railing against the government today.

Jim, try this one. The original link still works for me when I click on it - not sure why it's not working for others.
Michelle at July 8, 2013 5:53 PM
That worked. Your first one was some mobile connection that failed on my desktop.
Regardless, I'd vote for him if I could. Too bad he isn't a U.S. Citizen over 35. I'd want him our pres too.

Jim - Glad it worked!
