A friend was stranded once in Shanghai for a couple of weeks when they locked the city down for a hepatitis outbreak. At least it wasn't a vacation.

2 weeks after friend returns from trip to Amazon asks me to look at back of her neck that's irritating her. me: "uhm, something doesn't look right, at all."
cut to doctor's office, where he pokes around then exclaims "oh wow". pulls out little fly (alive) that had hatched inside her.
