I have no reservations about her choice to punish her daughter, however, she also makes some nasty comments about her daughter's friends, who committed the damnable sin of being born out of wedlock.
She claims she wants to raise a "mature, responsible adult." Part of being a mature adult is to recognize that people should not be judged for something they have no control over.

I read it that the mother was commenting on society in general about out of wedlock births not at any specific person her daughter was associating with.
That's possible, but it sounds like she had a few of her friends in mind when she said, "I find it HIGHLY amusing that you girls think you invented this stuff. Tricks like this on OUR parents is how HALF of you were conceived …..And why a lot of your friends DONT have an address to send that Fathers day card to!!!"

Mom punishes disrespectful and dishonest daughter by revoking birthday present, four tickets to see One Direction and selling the tickets on E-bay.
