So, if I assembled a series of animated gifs of black people being clumsy or in otherwise awkward moments, and called it "The 25 Blackest Things That Have Ever Happened," that wouldn't be at all racist, right?

I did a double take when I saw this headline. "A flesh-eating drug?" But that's really what it says, and that's really what it does. It's pretty sad when people will use a drug that essentially turns you into an ambulatory pile of rotting flesh.
The zombie invasion is real.

Yes, krokodil fucks people up. But at least its not illegal, therefore it is better for you than weed, which the government claims is more addictive and deadly than heroin, and the courts have ruled that such outstanding lies and outlandish jail sentences are perfectly legal, and we dont want people breaking the law
Move over, Duke! Your position as a party school may be in jeopardy. From who (whom), you may ask? Well, how about Oxford?
It seems they have a little work to do, though. The scandals the linked article mentions sound like a weekend frat party out here. "Offences included bringing mobile phones or other revision material into the exam hall, rowdy post-exam celebrations, damaging IT equipment and even lending a library card to another student."
Oh, the horror...

That was funny Patrick. I really don't think I could be racially offended.

You're not going to freaking believe this one: Connecticut middle-schoolers go on a field trip to an educational program of some kind, only to find one of the activities is a slavery re-enactment, and are chased through the woods by people calling them "n----rs!"
Think about that for a moment: Somebody really thought this was a good idea. To the linked site's credit, the director of said program gives his side of the story, but he still doesn't look that good.

Old RPM, when I first read your description, I thought, it sounded like a nice idea, actually. Teaches people the details of slave life and I see no harm in roleplaying. Kids do the same thing by themselves.
I also think that shying away from the word "nigger" the way we do is part of the problem. We need to address the terminology honestly, not treat it like the very mention of it will summon Lord Voldemort.
But then I read the article and learned what this "slavery reenactment" involves.
It's depressing not only for what it says about bullying victims, which is awful enough, but for what it says about how schools try to deal with the problem. Here's a quote from a DC school official:
"The only thing we have seen work is prevention," says Suzanne Greenfield, director of the city's Bullying Prevention Program. "Bullying is a behavior. We want to replace the behavior with a more positive approach."
This includes identifying kids who could become easy prey for bullies.
"Oftentimes, kids will pick on or isolate or bully kids that they see as vulnerable, and you find out why those students are vulnerable and help build those skills to cope with negative behavior," Greenfield says.
"Build those skills to cope with negative behavior." What does that even mean? Does that sound like something that didn't come out of a textbook somewhere?

To echo Amy's sentiment, "No. Way."

Since I've already posted one depressing link, here's another one from WTOP Radio about bullying and school responses to it.
