The Latest In The Race To Declare Everything A "Hate Crime"
It isn't just Muslim Men and women who are dressing in burkas (to blow up themselves and the infidel rest of us); predictably, people (who may not even be Muslim) are wearing them to rob banks.
Naturally, an idiot legislator -- a Pennsylvania state rep, Ron Waters -- is saying, "There oughta be a law!" Yes, a law declaring it a "hate crime" to do a criminal act while wearing religious attire is what he's proposing.
(Of course he proposing that it be non-denominational, as if people are going out dressed like Orthodox Jews to rob banks. You can just hear the teller now: "Hey, you carrying the sack of money, 1868 Poland wants their look back!")
Here's the video:

So let's see. Hmmmm. A man wearing a Catholic priest's outfit gets a speeding ticket (yep, that's technically a crime). Then is sentenced to five years in the clink.
Oh, sure...that will never happen, until it does.
No, really, there's no potential for abuse and religious persecution there. Not a chance.

Maybe it should be a "hate crime" to impersonate a member of another political group while carrying a sign like "Get Involed!" that makes you (and them) look like total idiots.

If a long dress and head scarf aren't chaste enough, get thee to a psychiatrist.
The last thing we need is a bunch of masked Muslims running around our country.
NYC and Boston should be enough of a lesson for us. Shame on Ron Waters.

How about making it a crime to enter a bank with your head and face covered? (Those rare unfortunates who must keep their head and face covered for medical reasons would be required to present a special pass signed by their physician, along with ID.)
