Here's an interesting Washington Post story on the ethics of "crowdsourcing medical decisions." It has to do with how social media supposedly shamed a biotech company into providing a critically ill little boy with a potentially life-saving, but still experimental treatment. While the article wasn't built to suggest any answers, it does sketch out the scope of the issue.
