I have no words for this. The man is despicable, but I can't revel in someone's impending death. I can't accept the idea that someone's death is a good thing.
But he was excommunicated from his own church in August 2013? Why could this be?

Patrick, I do have words for this. That man caused so much hate and hurt to others. I have no sympathy for him or his followers. They are losers - every single one of them. If there is a hell he will surely rot there.

In his case, those words do fit.

Happy St Patricks Day!!
I hope your celebration of the Catholic slaughter of non violent Druids and the subsequent reign of Catholicism(and their child raping priests) is everything it should be.

In reading some of the commentary on the article, some have opined that he simply was excommunicated by his church so that the church wouldn't have to pay his medical expenses. Of course, excommunication itself is not a legal procedure. Be removing him from their organization was.
But that is just a theory someone ventured. I have no idea how it works.

Patrick: " . . . was excommunicated by his church so that the church wouldn't have to pay his medical expenses . . ."
That actually makes sense - everything they do is based on money. Their protests at funerals are a way to make money (someone at the funeral is going to hit one of them and, thereby, earn them an out-of-court settlement for civil damages). So, if this turns out to be true it would not surprise me that it is simply a way for them to save money.
And, BTW, I won't be shy about it - I do hope someone, anyone, shows up at his funeral to "protest." The more I think about it, the more I wished I lived within a days drive - I would show up to "protest." I wouldn't do it alone; but, I'd join the crowd if there was one.

Charles, if I lived even 100 yards away, I wouldn't bother. He's not worth it. He's a piece of garbage that I just wouldn't waste my time on.

This could cause a serious dilemma for tree huggers in California, but probably not.
