More lawsuit idiocy, a group sues to have a cross-shaped WWI memorial removed:

Now, I could see asking that such a religious symbol not be used if they were planning the memorial today; but, for Pete's sake, this cross memorial was built almost 90 years ago. How about they leave it alone as it is a part of history now?

This poor unfortunate individual seems to believe that he's not an American citizen, but a Moor...when he's not asserting that he has rights as a citizen.

Starts yammering incoherently about how the police have no "probley cause" to stop him (as if driving a car without plates is as normal as smog), and insisting that his car is his "privatey property."

Isab might find this one amusing.

My parents paid for most of my college, but they sure didn't owe it to me, nor did I feel that way. After 18, whatever your parents give you is their choice. What an entitled shit.

Family law experts in New Jersey say Canning's case might set legal parameters on whether non-divorced parents in the state are obligated to pay for their children's college education and provide other financial support after the child has left home.

New Jersey is one of several states that require divorced parents to pay for their children's education through college, or legal emancipation, said William Laufer, a family law expert in New Jersey. So far, there is no parallel decision for intact families.

"This case is certainly unique," Laufer said. "The question is, a kid at the age of 18 says he or she is moving out of the house - do parents have a legal obligation to support their kids until emancipation?"

College, eh not so much

Private school tuition? I can see it.

As I understand it she is more than halfway thru her senior year. Transferring will look bad on her transcript, there is no guarantee she'll get her same AP classes, if she is taking such classes.

I dont know if colleges give out lacrosse scholarships, but I do know nearly every school district has a rule that transfer student cant compete for the rest of the year, some have rules that say no competing for two years, in order to prevent poaching and team building.
