Yeah, I have questions about that. Not about about energy emissions, but about the toxicity of the paint.
We don't need to be timid... After all, we've already paved the damn road, which is a powerful and chaotic intrusion on the flora and fauna, even before we send the traffic (and cargo, often including non-native plants and animals). And the safety of people means more to me than almost anything.
Things that glow don't always do so through gentle chemistry. Do we want to splash these compounds across our entire transport realm? This stuff will fade and disperse, as road markings have always done.
Some cities in America are already sorry they've been salting their roadways for the last century.
