Tweet of wisdom: Don't let goofballs handle your social media.

Sixth months later, this remains the most poignant tweet of 2014.

Deeble is a comedian who knocks out a few good ones every day.
He is libertarian...
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:10 AM
…Like so.
But he does regular comedy too.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:14 AM
More Deeble, Deeble.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:16 AM
Still more Deeble, Deeble.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:18 AM
Even more Deeble, Deeble
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:19 AM
You're enjoying these.
Deeble, Deeble.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 12:20 AM
C'mon, they're one-liners.
The best comedians are the ones who aren't afraid to put some candy on the internet every day... They know that if they're good, they can always make more.
Deeble, Deeble.

Also, as regard's Amy's larger topic, Cosh had a fun exchange with a critic tonight… Scroll up here to read the whole thread. He gave it this tombstone. I envy his ability to irritate the people I'd most like to irritate.
(See also: Hitch, Paglia, Zappa… More to come.)

Egyptian Commentator Demands Jews Return Gold Taken During Exodus. Also, six pomegranates and a jar of olives.

That Kent State one really is amazing, Crid.

Good lord it's early. Okay, coffee. Coffee. Read news. Arggh, not THAT news. Cripes. Ah, something light and humorous, like, I dunno, gummy bears or something.
Oh. My. GAWD.
Gog_Magog_Carpet_Reclaimers at September 15, 2014 5:47 AM
All that money and still boring as hell.
Cringe-worthy greedasauruses on parade.

"CBS Sports said the ad was “too political” to air during the network’s upcoming broadcast of the Wrangler Champions Challenge rodeo."

So glad that CBS protected me from the Pledge of Allegiance. Wow. That was a close one.

It's a link about Adrian Peterson's apology for the whipping he gave his son with a switch. Coincidentally I live where it is so acceptable to do this that Saturday while driving up the road by my house there were 6 kids of varying ages in a single file on the sidewalk, minding their manners so well, with their momma bringing up the rear with an 8 foot long willow branch. Wish like heck I had doubled back and gotten that picture.

CPS called for a child seen playing outside...with 150 yards of his own home.

Well now, check THIS out!
mpetrie98 at September 15, 2014 4:15 PM
What?
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 6:49 PM
This is me caring about football:
Haha! That was a joke! I don't care at all.
For example, I'd forgotten that this ball player (or any ballplayer) had lost a son, TO DEATH I MEAN, who he never spent time with any way.
This will be the sarcastic paragraph: In terms of psychological development, maybe that's better for the kid who was bleeding, I don't know… Maybe it's better to be a kid who thinks that random asshole musclemen out there are incredibly dangerous than to think that your own father would do that to you.
This guy is apparently just a savage. I'm surprised the burghers of Minneapolis haven't burned down his house with torches and pitchforks at midnight.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 7:25 PM
Apparently the Condi-for-commish thing is real.
I predict the NFC Northern Division will welcome her as a liberator.
No, I mean it this time.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at September 15, 2014 7:30 PM
Okay why NFC North? I think she'd be great, by the way, but I admire most things she tackles, pun intended. That woman has her stuff together.
I do hope they use AP as an example about how not to discipline your kids. It happens all the frickin time, still. I believe him when he says this was how he was disciplined. He's from East Texas, and I literally saw a woman here in Louisiana doing this exact thing on Saturday. There's no point in calling CPS cause everyone still does this - in broad daylight on a busy street, no less. He went too far and there is no excuse, but I hope he becomes the poster child on how not to discipline your kids. There's nothing quite as scary as a kid as seeing someone grab a willow branch and start jerking off the leaves. Freddy and Jason be damned, that dang willow branch is scarier.
