FIFY. Most athletic department are self-funding, especially state schools.
Y'all are aware that Phil Knight, CEO of Nike is also a UO alumni and gives Oregon their uniforms gratis? along with large checks with plenty of zeros behind it?
His money, his priorities. As long as they aren't siphoning off money from actual educational pursuits like hiring diversity coordinators and SJW Studies programs this shouldn't be a huge problem.
And if it is, there's always the University of Chicago. Or UAB.
