A good effort by Mz. Young, but it would be better if it was grounded in some basics.
Young writes: "But supporting feminism, in its dictionary sense of the equality of the sexes, doesn’t bind you to any particular position on gun control, capitalism, or the environment."
Feminism doesn't exist in the "dictionary sense". As a vehicle for Marxism, feminism is wholly concerned with grasping and wielding coercive, totalitarian power. As the occasional apostate discovers, feminism is absolutely binding to specific political platforms related to disarming the citizenry, seizing control of the economy, and using environmentalism as a Trojan Horse for social control funded by green taxes.
Perhaps that misperception leads Young to ask "feminists, humanists, egalitarians, even (gasp!) men’s rights activists — why not work with anyone who shares one’s overall goals?"
Feminism's only overall goal is power. In pursuit thereof, feminism aims to disenfranchise and exploit men. That's why it's not possible for people interested in establishing human rights for men to work together with feminists.
