Don't get your point Cousin Dave. I thought he was stating an obvious but ignored "truths". I thought he was yelling "HEY! We are in trouble here."
1. The type of post-WWII jobs that created a "middle-class" are dead and gone. A high-school graduate w/o a trade is in trouble and no one is telling him/her that.
2. The credit-card, borrowing on home-equity, second mortage life style buying non-essential stuff is/was not normal and not a good idea.
Don't know why the URL was "eaten" on my last post.

Bob, my point was: what business does some guy who probably made his billions through connections (he knew to short government-driven sub-prime loans) have telling me what standard of living I have to accept? I mentally correlated it (maybe a mistake) with another article I read this morning about how tech employers are pushing for huge increases in H1-B visas for foreign tech workers even as they are outsourcing and laying off Americans. Microsoft, to name one, wants to see 100,000 more foreign workers brought in to replace the 18,000 Americans that they just laid off. Why do we, as a nation, put up with this shit?
(Actually, I can answer the question as to why we put up with this shit. To find the answer, go down to Target or Wal-Mart and look at the labels on almost every product in the store to see where they are made. We're all addicted to cheap Chinese labor, even as we decry the effects on our nation. The thing is, even if you're willing to go out of your way and pay more to buy American, a lot of the time you can't... the product is simply not made in America by anyone.)
According to the link, immigrants and Arizona high schoolers alike require only a score of 60% to pass. The pass rate among immigrants is north of 95%, while fewer than 7 of 10 native-born Americans pass.
Anyway, all the right people are outraged by the new law, so that's something right there.

Yet another billionaire who wants to reduce the middle class's standard of living.

If this story about French special forces and legionnaires joining ISIS doesn't give you a chill, nothing will.

How did Islam come to this?

Now that a judge has declared it officially okay, men (pretty much exclusively) can rest easy.

Monkeywrenching feminism. The more I read stuff like this, the more I appreciate trannies.

Arizona has just passed a law requiring high school students to pass the same civics test given to immigrants applying for naturalization prior to receiving their diplomas.
According to the link, immigrants and Arizona high schoolers alike require only a score of 60% to pass. The pass rate among immigrants is north of 95%, while fewer than 7 of 10 native-born Americans pass.
