Murder Meets The Sharing Economy In Chicago
No, not for real -- a parody piece in The Onion:
Chicago Introduces New Citywide Gun-Sharing StationsCHICAGO--Touting the program's convenience and affordability, Chicago officials unveiled Monday the city's new gun-sharing service, "QuikShot," which allows individuals to check out a loaded firearm for short periods of time.
The municipal initiative, through which users can rent semiautomatic pistols, shotguns, rifles, and submachine guns at more than 250 self-service kiosks, has reportedly been designed to make firepower easily available to residents and tourists alike nearly everywhere within the city limits.
Adds the element of speed to contract killings and drive-by shootings. Always nice to modernize!

This might be useful for the hoplophobic woman who finally realized her abusive ex is not going to be stopped by a restraining order.

Cool! Set 'em up at the luggage carousels at O'Hare and Midway. Tourists and business travelers alike will love it. "Welcome to Chicago! Don't forget the artillery!"

God I fucking love Chicago.
It's like it's the less cool version of New York and LA's uglier brother. It's the middle child nobody even notices or remembers. But the food is good, the people are are not easily flustered and they have a little mid-western attitude about them. They are not patronizing materialistic snobs like here in SoCal. They' ll ask you if you want a "pop".
My regular bus driver used to ask ladies if they thought he looked like Denzel. I will never forget their replies "No you look more like a dirtier version of Morgan Freeman"
Can't get that quick wit here!
I would totally live there. Maybe I will sometime but damn the weather sucks.
