I realize this is Canada, but it's still ridiculous. It seems some postal workers are objecting to have to deliver mail that goes against their religious beliefs.

I have a perfect solution for them: Stop reading other peoples' mail!

Thanks, Bob and RPM. She went very peacefully. She was lying on her bed watching television, then she simply went to sleep. My sister says she looked quite at peace. She was continent, mobile, living in her own home, and with (most of) her memory intact. I couldn't ask for better than that.

I saw this story this morning and thought of you, Amy. I think it's creepy that the TSA searches hair, however styled. They poked through mine once, I have relatively short hair (wish it could be longer, but can't afford hair extensions...) but I guess it was puffy that day. Ick.

With their usual intellectual pablum, my bar for registering disdain about New Yorker articles has grown pretty high over the years. This on is clearing it in street shoes.

I'm not a big fan of "the enemy is a monster" propaganda, but this time it seems to be real.
