What in the world? I just got this in my work email. Essentially asking staff to "adopt" textbooks at the U of AZ in order lower the price of textbooks for students who purchase them from the campus bookstore. Whaaa? How about do other things such as offer e-book versions, PDF versions, no hardbacks, don't set such a high profit margin. Don't ask your weakly paid employee to help a private business flourish (the bookstore is not part of the UA, they're privately held, of course...).
