Jodi Arias sentenced to life in prison, without the possibility of parole. She performs a Rasputin on the guy, then has the nerve to claim it was self-defense. She should have gotten life for that lame defense alone.

re: Nurse refusing to treat student
1. Sounds like nurse was rude in yelling and wrong in not doing her job. Did not handle situation well at all.
2. Kid might as well begin to understand that after many years of war and losing dear ones that not every one is going to pat her on the head and say "Good job for thumbing your nose at our country."
3. Understanding that you have a right to do/not do something and knowing when to respect others' rights is/can be a difficult thing IF you are concerned about other people's feelings.
If you are only concerned about your feelings then you better toughen up, because a lot of people are getting tired of not being confrontational.

Good points, Bob. I thought the student was being a bit "femme fragile" myself. On the other hand, the nurse is a health care professional employed by the school. In that capacity, she should be expected to act in that capacity without regard for the political views of the students she treats. Simply put, she did not have the right to refuse to treat the student and should be fired and have her license revoked.

"... she did not have the right to refuse to treat the student and should be fired and have her license revoked."
Disagree w/firing unless she's gone whacko. It's not like the kid was sick/hurt (she stayed at school).
A day's suspension and a warning. No comments to kid/parents.
NO apology until you need to avoid a law suit. If you want to play rough on the playground you gotta take some hits. That's true for both sides.

I stand by my comments. We'll have to agree to disagree. It wasn't just refusal of the treatment, either.
She showed up in the school administrator's office where the student had fled, saying, “She isn’t calling a parent until I have a long conversation with her!”
Ah, no. The child has the right to call her parent, and the nurse does not get to postpone this until she lectures the student on patriotism. This is a serious overstepping of bounds, and she does not need to be a nurse.
And it does not matter if the child was seriously ill/injured or not. She has a job to do and she refused to do it.
Would you want in her working in a hospital refusing to administer much-needed medication to a patient until she has a "conversation" with them about their patriotism?
Nurse needs a reality check, big time. In fact, her world needs to be rocked.

Begining to think that SOP for police should be to save the bullet for themselves.
Seriously tired of this type of attitude. They need to be rotated off the street to other work frequently to keep a sense of humanity.
Hope all present are fired. As far the cop that made a mistake, I hope the court system is fair 'cause I think he was totally surprised.
As far as the one in S.C., I hope hope that the charge of murder was not premature in that a definition of murder may not be what you and I think it is. Hoping he does not walk 'cause it was not premeditated. Manslaughter might have been better but I don't know the law in S.C.. (Think he should fry.)

Had Arias claimed abuse first, rather than 4th after three lies were proven false, she very well may have gotten way with it.
Recall Mary Winkler? Murdered her husband to hide her financial crimes, shot him in the back while sleeping and then disconnected the home phone so he couldnt call for help, arrested at the beach with a loaded gun and a shovel she bought en route, most likely to bury her kids.
Sentenced to 210 days, with credit for 150 days served and was allowed to spend her last 60 days in a metal heath spa.
She now has custody of the kids. Because she claimed abuse from the get go.
Had Arias done the same she'd be out of jail by know
> DENVER (CBS4) – A CBS4 investigation has learned that two Transportation Security Administration screeners at Denver International Airport have been fired after they were discovered manipulating passenger screening systems to allow a male TSA employee to fondle the genital areas of attractive male passengers.
It happened roughly a dozen times, according to information gathered by CBS4.
According to law enforcement reports obtained during the CBS4 investigation, a male TSA screener told a female colleague in 2014 that he “gropes” male passengers who come through the screening area at DIA.
“He related that when a male he finds attractive comes to be screened by the scanning machine he will alert another TSA screener to indicate to the scanning computer that the party being screened is a female. When the screener does this, the scanning machine will indicate an anomaly in the genital area and this allows (the male TSA screener) to conduct a pat-down search of that area.”
Although the TSA learned of the accusation on Nov. 18, 2014 via an anonymous tip from one of the agency’s own employees, reports show that it would be nearly three months before anything was done.
On Feb. 9 TSA security supervisor Chris Higgins watched the screening area, observing the employees. “At about 0925 he observed (the male TSA screener) appear to give a signal to another screener … (the second female screener) was responsible for the touchscreen system that controls whether or not the scanning machine alerts to gender- specific anomalies, according to a law enforcement report obtained by CBS4.
According to the report, the TSA investigator then watched a male passenger enter the scanner at DIA “and observed (the female TSA agent) press the screening button for a female. The scanner alerted to an anomaly, and Higgins observed (the male TSA screener) conduct a pat down of the passenger’s front groin and buttocks area with the palm of his hands, which is contradictory to TSA searching policy.”
Higgins later interviewed the female TSA agent who was an accomplice in the groping conspiracy. She “admitted that she has done this for (the male TSA officer) at least 10 other times. She knew that doing so would allow (the male TSA officer) to perform a pat down on a male passenger that (the male TSA screener) found attractive,” reported Higgins.

CBS4 Investigation: TSA Screeners At DIA Manipulated System To Grope Men’s Genitals
