China has hacked the Office of Personnel Management's security clearance files. They now have the personal and professional information on every federal employee (and contractors?) who has a security clearance. You have to disclose some very personal information on those forms. I don't need to spell out what kind of trouble this could cause, but among the effects might be that every covert foreign intel agent we have has now been burned.
