Bob, that was 1993. I'm sure the senior Senator from Nevada has had an opportunity to evolve and to nuance his position on the matter.

Just like Paula Dean?
Rural South in the '50's, 60's, and '70's "Nigger" was a commonplace term. Kids my age gradually learned it was not a good term. Parents, Grandparents not so much.
Fuck him and all those like him (both parties).
The people voting for him deserve him.

Jerry Brown has been through this Ca. drought stuff before.
"'Climate change'" is a much better term than global warming. Right?"
Right. Because in the entire history of the Earth, climate change never, ever happened until James Watt invented his steam engine. Ask the dinosaur down the street. He'll tell you.
Honestly, every day the environmental movement gets closer and closer to creationism. Their stance on species extinction (that all extinctions are caused by human activity, and the total number of species on Earth is declining rapidly) denies evolution. And their stance on climate is essentially a "young Earth" theory -- in order to deny that any climate change happened prior to the industrial age, they have to argue that earlier events never actually occurred, despite the evidence.
Yea, the old blame whitey for being a racist instead of admitting that we did something wrong ploy.

And since the dinosaurs successfully negotiated their own climate change we can all continue business as usual with nothing to worry about.

Why Charles! Of course taking over a train car by being loud is not wrong! They were just being themselves and those of non-color were being unjust.
And naturally everyone else should have been forced off the train and blindfolded so that they could leave that insensitive establishment with the dignity they deserve. Not escorted down the aisle in plain view.

Their climate change wasn't caused by Joe driving his car to work. Now if you want to use this to make an argument that we need to be developing the capability to deflect comets and asteroids away from Earth, I'm all for it.

This has he smell of "hoax" all over it:

Anyone wanna bet that it was a black candidate or supporter who sent the flyers?
Or that reverse racism is also at play with this story:

It's under way but, sadly, not doing well.
