And in case you wonder why I think California is boned: CALPERS Chief Investment Officer is California’s highest paid civil servant, and received a raise of 36% from $547,000 to $745,000 in one year.
Also: "Much of the documents were redacted." I have to wonder: why? I wouldn't think there would be national security issue involved?

A former NFL cheerleader gets punished for sexual assault.
Terms? "According to reports, the mother of three must spend every other weekend for the next two years at a Delaware work-release detention center." Also has to pay the victim’s family $10,650 and register as a sex offender.
At least she has to register. Wonder if that's a lifetime requirement or if it goes away after some time?
Another sign that sex is more important than murder in the USA, the haven of hypocrisy.
While songs like this one ran up the charts, and "My friend's hot mom" and "MILF" are integral parts of American idiom, somehow we think that a 15-year-old boy will be forever scarred.
Will he cut or try to kill himself because a "former NFL cheerleader" blew him, or because a sickly obsessed society now insists he should be ashamed and forever a victim?

Looks like the EPA knew they could leak a boatload of garbage from that Colorado mine but didn't have much of a plan to deal with that contingency.

Too good to not link to awards should be judged solely on quality, and not become backslapping circlejerks for social justice groupies and their favourite minority of the month.
