Remember how you felt when it was revealed that the military was paying lots of money for hammers? this will get your goat: green fuel at $149/gallon.

Oh, those wacky Canadians and their disdain for free speech and especially a pickup artist named Roosh V:
The crusaders for justice don’t care. While they use disgusting language like “die cis scum” and #killallmen, they go through our history with a fine-tooth comb hysterically pointing out rude adjectives like “decaying.” It’s like being admonished by Sid Vicious for using your iced-beverage spoon instead of your oval soupspoon.
Americans spend a phenomenal amount of money consuming food outside their homes, and a major reason is that with restaurant labor so cheap, the convenience and price are attractive to people who don't feel like cooking. If the wages go up, that calculus shifts. And unfortunately those "rich bosses" can't just take it out of their profits, because margins in the industry are under 5 percent, and the difference between making that profit and closing up shop can be surprisingly thin.

From Gog's linkie:
Smith County Judge Randall Rogers then gave him a choice between two years of probation or 15 days in jail, according to Jaynes, 19.
The probation terms included requiring Bundy to write out a Bible verse 25 times a day ("If a man digs a pit, he will fall into it." -- Proverbs 26:27), and getting married within 30 days.
My advice? you did the crime, do the time. 15 days isn't so much, and you won't have to report to a parole officer for two years. Oh, and the next time some one really pisses you off and you're tempted to punch them? remember this.
One of the things that irritates me no end about this right-wing blog is the endless condemnation of what something some liberal politician has done that's just so awful, awful, awful. While it was ignored when done by right wingers, usually the previous administration. The blog's motto is IOKIYAR.
The bailouts, for instance. Foam, spit, gnash-gnash. That rotten Obama!
They were started by Bush.
The goddamn TSA. Snort, snarl! Scumbag Obama strikes again.
It was started by Bush.
Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi...And how many embassy attacks did we have under Bush again?
But at least Bush doesn't have anything like Hillary's email scandal!
HRC created the mess of a private server, turning over HRC approved PAPER printouts of emails, deleting HRC approved ELECTRONIC emails w/no copies(?), and then swiping the server clean.
If we are defined by both our successes and our failures then Obama doesn't have much for us to go by 'cause Bush is blamed for a lot of stuff.
Obama left according to Bush's schedule. He let the stimulus package be decided by Pelosi and Reid. He forced a health care system on us that only works because like a turtle climbing over rocks you eventually get there. Not even sure He knows what is in the deal.
Hell, HRC probably did at least travel on more business trips than he did. Hope his golf score is improving.

I know what you mean, Patrick, but it's not just this blog.
Ever since Newt Gingrich took out his Contract On America political discourse has devolved into My Team Good/Your Team Satan's Anus Maintenance Crew.
Personally I changed my registration to Independent when Clinton ran the first time. The man is not a Democrat and frankly I'd like to see two distinct parties, not one party hatefully divided in public but united at the secret corporate feeding trough.

I'm glad to hear that Gog and Patrick are mind readers and know exactly what everyone else thinks about every issue. Tell you what: Let's do a sort of a Turing test. You guys write some posts about what you think I think about an issue, and publish them under my name. Then we'll let everyone else decide which posts are actually me.

Nothing personally was said about you, Cousin Dave. And I think your ire is needless. I'm speaking of the general trend on this blog, not you personally. You could be 100% in opposition. However that would place you squarely in the minority.

"I'm glad to hear that Gog and Patrick are mind readers"
Where did you hear that, Dave? Inside your head?
Because I sure didn't claim to know what you - or anyone else - was thinking.
This is the knee-jerk reactionary my team/your team thinking that I'm talking about. Not "Republicans/conservatives/Tea Party BAD", Dave. Left/Right arbitrary divisions created by the people who benefit the most from our basketball-team political loyalties: politicians.
For instance (and you can find the opposite examples, I'm quite sure!), in my lifetime the GOP has loved to claim itself the party of the military and law and order. Until veteran John Kerry ran for President, of course, and then suddenly a huge smear campaign appeared out of the mists.
Threaten us, do we not squeal? Prick us, do we not bleed? Provide a "better" (as in, actually volunteered for and went to war) veteran candidate do we not crap ourselves in a blind rush to denigrate that veteran's war service in the sincere hope our hateful garbage will be later forgotten by the cheerleaders of our side?
It's mindless, it's childish, but it's America today.
You may now return to blaming liberals. After all, they vote different than you, so they're bad people.

Ya know the scandal of GM's ignition switch debacle that led to senseless deaths and accidents over an innocuous little part? What if Ford pointed its finger and said "shame, shame, we know your name!" and then ended up doing the exact thing and having a faulty ignition switch with a coverup to boot and more lives lost.
In 2007 the Bush pot used the email server gwb43.com, and after much finger pointing and burning rhetoric and uproar about the ghastly situation of thousands of lost emails, in 2009 the Clinton kettle used the email server clintonemail.com for her entire tenure as Secretary of State and never ever had a normal secure .gov email account as mandated, with same said many lost emails and classified crap circulating on Aol or some shit.
I mean what the frick? At some point, someone loses their job, or an election, or their freedom because they all think they are above the law. The line must be drawn at some point and Clinton knew exactly where that line was.
The various economies explained via cows.
