Amy, that wouldn't stop anybody. Pair that with a gawdawful face? Yeah, ok.

Don't you have to be stupid to wear fashion runway clothes? I mean, look at the pink floppy hat. If you are a Dr. Seuss character that might work. Anyone else and you are just asking to trip and run into walls.

After the success from Moschino's "Cheap Chic" fashion line, Armani has decided to grab some of that target audience with a new clothing line known as "Ugly Chic."

In the case of the model wearing that...thing...I would say it would look good on the floor next to my bed.
Wut?

Certainly not MY style - most things aren't, these days, whether they're from Neiman Marcus or a thrift store - but how is it that different from harem pants, more or less?

Reminds me of the quip: Birkenstocks are a very effective form of birth control.
Imagine pairing those trousers with a pair of Birks?
Ooh-la-la! That would really say baise-moi.

Ok, do ANY runway fashions ever get worn? I thought, for the most part, they're like concept cars at car shows-to get attention for the brand, not to ever be sold.
Most fashion shows, to me, just seem like big ol' "Look at meeeeeee!" bids for attention, by seeing who can be most ridiculous.

The emperor is wearing clothes but sometimes they kinda suck.

Fashion shows are the Left's equivalent to Country Fried Home Videos. All they need is the guy giving out the "Here's Your Sign" award.
The gal wearing this ... thing sure has my vote!

No, they don't -- at least not in the extreme form they take in the fashion show. The closest we'll get to seeing these pants "in the wild" is when some musician wears them on the red carpet at the Grammys to make a statement.
It always happens -- some wacky picture from a fashion show (or a high-fashion "concept" photo shoot) will get shared around and everyone will hem and haw about how unattractive it is and how they wouldn't sleep with a woman wearing it. Even though it's basically the clothing form of abstract art that nobody can actually buy or wear. It's not meant to be attractive or flattering. That's the whole point.
Don't worry people, you're not going to see these pants at Target.

I always thought that maybe, since in the fairy tale, the emperor was so ridiculously clothes-obsessed BEFORE the swindlers showed up, the main point was really that even when the emperor WAS dressed, "the clothes had no emperor."
But the other morals of the story are certainly worth discussing too.
