Well, if these people knew about your lede above, they'd likely claim it was sexist.
Some Swedes have their knickers in a bunch over a Calvin Klein ad campaign in Stockholm.
Discussions surrounding the posters, currently being displayed at subway stations around the Swedish capital, intensified after former copywriter Nina Åkestam wrote a column in Sweden's Metro newspaper earlier this week describing the clothing firm's approach as "irresponsible and wrong".
"It's not underwear or nudity in itself that's the problem. There are thousands of ways to take a picture, and that leads to thousands of different things. The problem with this type of advertising is not what it shows, but how it shows it. The women's bodies, poses and facial expressions make them sexualized," she said.
The new puritans, same as the old puritans. Also, has this person been living in a cave? I take it she's never seen CK's advertising men's knickers. I feel oppressed because my gut doesn't look like a sculpted 6 pack!

Victor Davis Hansen points out one of the things that rubs me the wrong way about many illegal immigrants.
It is still common to find at immigration rallies thousands of Mexican flags, with far fewer — if any — American flags. Illegal aliens do not just root for visiting Mexican sports teams, but go the extra mile of booing the American opposition.
The message is incoherent: “I will salute the country that drove me out but less so the one that welcomed me in.” In fact, the entire narrative of illegal immigration has become unhinged. The vocabulary of protest is never aimed against the nation that forced them out, only against the one that most generously welcomed them in.
Rhetorical question: Why is Europe being held responsible for this, why aren't the Muslim states doing something (other than financing the terrorists)? The Gulf states have the money, let them take in refugees. The fighting is, after all, in their backyard.
Instead of giving away the farm to Iran, Obama should be telling Gulf nations, such as Kuwait, Qatar, etc. (whose butts we saved) to do more to help their fellow middle-easterners.
And IRA Darth Aggie, these refugees from the Middle East in Europe are like the illegal aliens in the US; they will eventually criticize their host countries but sing praises for the Muslim countries that turned their backs on them.

College: an oasis of totalitarianism in a desert of freedom.
Charles, what's worse is that European countries are typically bad at assimilating their immigrants. Well, worse than we are now, and we're not all that any more.
Some people have this notion that getting immigrants to accept commonly held values of their new homeland is somehow imperialistic. I see it more as leave the worst of your culture behind, but bring the best of it with you. Then we can all share the benefits of a more robust common culture.
As for the Gulf states taking in refugees, some of those leaders are old enough to remember when Jordan took in Palestinian refugees in the 1960s. How did they repay the king's generosity? by trying to assassinate him, and taking the country.
Charming lot.

According to this definition, I have been a victim of sexual violence on multiple occasions.
Some of the offenders have been women. *gasp*
