Remember the OPM hack? elements of the most transparent administration evah! have decided against appearing at a House Armed Services committee hearing:
The Obama administration at the “last minute” on Tuesday declined to allow leading officials to testify before a classified House committee investigating a massive hack attack on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) that led to the disclosure of millions of personal records, according to a leading lawmaker.
Officials from the OPM, Department of Homeland Security, and the Office of Management and Budget cancelled their scheduled appearance before a closed-door session of the House Armed Services Committee, citing issues with the briefing being “on the record.”
So, y'all haven't figured out what lies you want to tell Congress, and don't want to get on the hook for lying under oath? clever.

Yeah, "personnel records..." it's looking now like they have the SF-86 data (some very personal information) on nearly everyone who has received a security clearance since at least 1980 or so. This probably includes every covert operative we have, anywhere in the world. Every one of them is going to have to be recalled and our covert ops capability rebuilt from scratch.

Woman assaulted at Dartmouth but apparently nothing will be done.
Oh, right, my mistake. It's ok to assault someone if you're a #BlackLivesMatter wanker.

Here's a direct link the the SF-86 (PDF) form. I've taken a look at it, and I would encourage others to do so, as well.
There are things on there that you might not be comfortable sharing with your rabbi, priest, minister or therapist, let alone a large government agency. As I recall, I was looking at a job with the Defense Mapping Agency, and it required an SF-86. I got about a 1/3rd of the way thru it and gave up - I couldn't answer many of the questions with much certainty. I mean, when was the last time I was in Mexico?
Another thing I found interesting is that the DoD and the National Intelligence people who were also appearing at that hearing had no issue with their remarks being transcribed.
Euro journalists are busy sending things down the memory hole. Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not a training guide.
